Hotel was located about 15-20 mins walk away from Hekou/Lao Cai border. General cleanliness was there however, the room and lift reeks of cigarettes as the hotel allowed smoking in the rooms and although I requested for a non-smoking room, there were still cigarette scents everywhere in the room. Aside from that, basic amenities were provided and check in process was very quick.

The hotel is in walkable distance (about 10-15 minutes) from the Hekou / Lao Cai foot passenger border crossing. All parts of the hotels are very clean, including corridor, room and bathroom / toilet. The beds are very good, there is enough place in the room. The commercial center of Hekou is only a few minutes walk away, there can you find food stalls, restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel itself does not provide any kind of food. A taxi to the railway station Hekou North is about 25 -30 CNY and takes about 15 minutes. The hotel can order a taxi.
I can recommend this hotel.

Only a few minutes from the border. Very good location, lots of shops nearby. Apartment was clean and everything was fine. A small fridge would have been nice. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to use one in the house. Nevertheless, I would recommend the hotel.
