Ein modernisiertes Luxus Hotel im Charm vergangener Tage. Mit den klassizistischen Bauten entlang der Strandpromenade führt Heiligendamm nicht ohne Grund den Namen die "Weiße Stadt am Meer". Leider ist der Ort noch nicht vollends touristisch erschlossen.

Es ist schon viel geschrieben worden über dieses Hotel, und auch das einmalige Ensemble. Wir waren zum ersten Mal da und schon sehr beeindruckt. Insofern lohnt sich schon deshalb der Besuch. Wir würden aber nicht noch einmal wiederkommen. Der Strandbereich ist wirklich nicht schön, auch wenn man versucht, mit einer Strandbar das Ganze aufzuwerten. Fest steht auch, dass das ganze Ensemble immer noch nich fertig ist. So liegt man am Pool und schaut auf eine – wenn auch nett dekorierte – Bauwand. Der Wellnessbereich vor kurzem erneuert worden, hervorzuheben ist der wirklich sehr große und warmeAußenpool, auch der Innen Pool ist gut temperiert und ausreichend groß. Dagegen finde ich den Saunabereich eher klein. Wer im Bademantel zum Pool will, für den gibt es nur ein Haus zur Unterbringung, von allen anderen Häusern muss man über das großzügige Gelände gehen. Nicht jedermanns Sache, wenn es draußen kühl ist oder regnet. Die Zimmerpreise in dem Hotel sind moderat angemessen, das Frühstück war hervorragend. Am Nachmittag kommt ein turndown Service, Ärgerlich sind die Nebenkosten, wie zum Beispiel hohe Parkgebühren, exorbitante Getränkepreise und auch die hohen Preise für das Essen. Tatsächlich gibt es auch wenig Ausweichmöglichkeiten. Wir empfehlen das Restaurant am Molly – Bahnhof. Da sahen wir dann auch etliche andere Hotelgäste wieder.

Es stand vom Vorgänger verschimmelter Kuchen im Zimmer.
Der Spaziergang im Park war nicht (wie früher)mit Hund erlaubt.

Es ist für uns das herausragendste Ensemble an der Ostsee, sowohl architektonisch als auch bei dem Aufenthalt. Grand Hotel vom feinsten! Das Personal, die Zimmer, die Ausstattung und ein Pool in dem es eine reine Freude ist zu schwimmen. Dazu das Gourmetrestaurant …. Bravo, wir kommen wieder !

The location is 10/10 but the service in the hotel especially the Kurhaus is disastrous and not worth a 5 star hotel! Also the cleanliness at the Kurhaus terrace is mediocre. We stayed 8 days and the floor was not once cleaned. The rests of breakfast lay there the whole stay.

Es fehlt hier vor allem an Personal, das dem Hotel Charme und Sauberkeit verleiht. Wenig saubere Zimmer, die nicht jeden Tag gemacht wurden. Viele Krabbeltiere in den Zimmern. Das Problem scheint bekannt. Die Preise im Kurhaus sind völlig überteuert ebenso wie die Getränke im Hotel. Zum Teil lange Wartezeiten an der Rezeption und in der Gastronomie. Der Strand und die Anlage sind sehr schön. Dafür die beiden Sterne. Dennoch im Vergleich zu anderen 5-Sterne-Luxus-Hotels sehr enttäuschend.
