The Lodge at Healdsburg, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Well, I'm not comfortable with many of these poorer reviews. It seems some of the poor reviews were because travelers didn't properly research the place. OK, so this place used to be a motor-inn style. It was purchased and repurposed as one, so if you don't like Motor Inn's, then perhaps this isn't for you. If however you want a nice place with great customer service, then this might be for you. Yes, the check-in is at the bar counter. Yes, there is charge for parking. The rooms are terrific, comfortable, safe and the wi-fi was free. The only negative I could give is that the staff seem to replace or make new coffee once its fully run out. That's a pretty insignificant item, considering there is free Nespresso in the room. Well done Staff and Management at The Lodge at Healdsburg!

I booked through their site and noticed the prices were half the price the closer we got to the date! I called to get the price adjusted. The last night was well over $200 more. We were staying 3 nights and called within 7 nights of the last night. Was told I would get a return phone call....never did. now am told I need to cancel the entire reservation, be charged for the first night and rebook. I will save well over $300 but seems to be a hassle. So much for going through the Hilton site! You would think they would take care of their customers.

Weird property. Former “motor court”/motel. Bizarre check in no front desk and sad breakfast options. Staff is mediocre at best. Upside: rooms once you get in are quite nice. Even getting a cup of coffee is a challenge at this disappointment that does not deserve ‘Canopy’ distinction. Hilton frequent flyers: the Hampton Inn is one exit down the 101– equally convenient better breakfast nicer staff.

Don’t stay! Overpriced. Electricity was out in entire hotel for at least 4 hours in morning. Front desk reception was indifferent, unprofessional and not helpful. Courtyard noise from people conversing at night and in the morning traveled into our room even through closed windows. The hotel was a converted lodge hotel with a hard to find entrance. A big miss!!

Staying at The Lodge was a great experience, from check in to check out. I liked the lobby/wine bar. Cool vibe. The ladies who were exceptionally helpful were Brook (she checked us in and gave GREAT recommendations for wineries and food) and Angie in the evening when we returned from our day of being out and about. We stayed a total of 3 nights, 4 days. It was perfect. The breakfast was really good and the coffee too. We hung out quite a bit out doors, enjoying the weather. We had a corner room (518). Zero noise. I highly recommend that room for sure. Beautifully decorated with a fire place. The entire property is chic. In the 4 days we were there, we couldn’t see or do everything we wanted in Healdsburg, so we will just have to come back and do the rest. We will 100% stay at The Lodge again!!
