L’hôtel Les Mars est un véritable bijou au coeur de la très jolie ville d’Headlsburg, dans la belle région viticole de la Sonoma Valley. Nous avons eu le bonheur de passer deux jours dans cet hôtel de conte de fées, et avons pu séjourner dans une très jolie chambre, vaste et très élégamment décorée. Lorsque vous arrivez.à l’hôtel, l’accueil vous donne tout de suite le ton d’un service particulièrement prévenant et chaleureux. Les belles attentions en chambre et les incroyables petits déjeuners servis en chambre chaque matin contribuent à rendre votre séjour idyllique et extrêmement relaxant ! Nous serions bien restés davantage dans ce havre de paix…

A really first class hotel - excellent and attentive service, large and very quiet (and dark, at night!) room, convenient in-town location. The staff readily took care of any requests of ours. Very nice breakfast brought to our room each morning. Comfortable bed and pillows. Tasteful decor throughout. We stopped in the bar one happy hour - great margaritas and a fun vibe. Highly recommend Hotel Les Mars!

Disappointed to find that the restaurant at this hotel closed abruptly 2 weeks before our visit. Stayed here in January 2024 and was charmed by this place although for the price has far fewer amenities than other hotels in the area. Although there are many fine restaurants in this area, not having one associated with the hotel means that there was not complimentary wine/champagne in the evenings and the options for the in-room breakfast service limited. Will likely not stay here in the future. Place feels cold and unwelcoming compared to last visit.

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel La Mars and can’t wait to visit again. Very thoughtful details and the perfect location. Once checked in (with a glass of sparkling wine in hand!) we walked the streets of Healdsburg, shopping and enjoying the sites. We got a wonderful massage within walking distance from the hotel then came back to relax. I took a long bath in the most beautiful sink in tub while my hubby relaxed by the fireplace, reading by the big picture window. It was elegant, soft and so relaxing. Later that night, we went out for a cocktail then back to Chalkboard for dinner. The meal was spectacular, the service was wonderful and then we got to pop right back upstairs to our vaulted ceilings room for a lovley stay. The next moring we got room service and had excellent coffee in bed. It was raining and we snuggled in lush robes by the fireplace. A little later, we walked to a new bakery called Quail and Condor for amazing pastries and strolled the town. I can’t thank the team at Hotel La Mars enough for such a delightful stay.

Loved this place and appreciate the attention to detail like bottle of bubbly in the room, soaking tub and four posted bed. Great location walkable to what Healdsburg has partnerships with nearby wineries that comp tasting fees. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

We paid $1700 for two rooms for one night. The experience was beyond terrible - we found hair in the shower, a missing knob on the bathroom faucet and the front desk refused to print out invoices because we made the reservation via a well known online travel website, and not directly with them! Breakfast was included but so plain and simple and only served in the room. I was just shocked how this hotel is in the Relais Chateaux portfolio... The property needs a new GM! Healdsburg is a lovely town and needs better hotels.

Exceptional hotel! I travel for business and am selective with hotel choices and this is easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at in years! Gracious service, nightly turndowns with chocolate, comfortable, quiet rooms and breakfast delivered to your room - doesn’t get better than this! They even dropped us to meet friends at a local winery. Can’t wait to come back!

Everything about the property was exceptional-the charming character of the property, the French ambiance, the room decor, the bed linens, balcony, in-room fireplace, the sparkling champagne in the room, the breakfast and everything was of exceptional quality. Last but not least-all of the staff at the property were exceptional, kind and helpful. We loved out stay.

We had the loveliest time at Hotel Les Mars! I'd go back again tomorrow! Our room was large and tastefully appointed. The bathroom was also spacious and had actual drawers in which to put our many items we need to get ready in the morning! But first of all, to me, the staff makes the difference when getting to your destination. Every single person who greeted us did so with a smile on his/her face, especially Trevor, who checked us in. There was never a time when we entered or left that a staff member didn't greet us with a friendly smile or welcome. We've been heading to Healdsburg, a very charming town, for many years but never stayed at Hotel Les Mars. We usually go for my birthday, in the beginning of July, and have stayed at a few different places. Hotel Les Mars was heads above the rest. Located just off the main Plaza, it's easy enough to shop and return your treasures to your room before returning to lunch or dinner. Treat yourself to a wonderful vacation there--I highly recommend it. By the way, they will make wine tasting reservations at some nice wineries and make sure the tasting is comped. We had a really great time, and I can't wait to return.
