Have often had a meal in the restaurant over the last 30 years and really enjoyed the food. This was our first stay at Rissington Inn which was great and a convenient stay over for the Kruger Park.

Die Lage ist für den Besuch des westlichen Kurger Park sehr gut. Das Rissington Inn ist einfach, sparsam eingerichtet, aber eine schöne gesamt Anlage. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen sind sehr gut und das a la Carte Menü wechselt komplett. Insgesamt ist es sehr zu empfehlen.

Das Rissington Inn war der Erste Stop unserer Selbstfahrer Reise. Wir haben mit unseren Freunden die Hillsite Suite bewohnt. Nach einem herzlichen Empfang konnten wir für 3 Tage das außergewöhnliche Essen,die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Personals genießen. Hier möchten wir ganz besonders Sindile hervorheben, die uns mit ihrer Fröhlichkeit jeden Tag begeistert hat. Das Rissington Inn ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt um die Panoramaroute zu bereisen. Wir können dieses Resort zu 100% empfehlen.

We spent three nights here on our first visit to SA. The all-female staff (all the male staff seem to work in the gardens!) are friendly and helpful. The lady in the office was brilliant and created a great itinerary for us for a couple of days, as we had no specific plans and no car. If you have a hire car, would recommend the gorge and Elephant Whispers, the sanctuary. She organised a driver to take us out to various local places, and we had a great time doing this. The room was very comfortable, good wifi, and we loved the outdoor shower, even if the weather was a little chilly while we were there! The restaurant offers a great choice of food, huge portions, and a comprehensive wine/drinks list too. The hotel is set in lovely grounds, where you can see monkeys scampering around and a huge variety of birds. There are a couple of short walking trails. We didn't try the pool, as it was still a bit cold forus. All in all a very positive introduction to SA!

Stayed here for 3 nights bed breakfast and evening meal. Excellent service and friendly happy staff who ensured our stay was relaxing. Early morning safari meant packed breakfast…. Could not fault the choices available. Drinks and snack menu excellent value for money ….4 bottles of wine (yes we went cheapest white ) and 2 cocktails during our stay cost A$85 !!! Menu choices excellent…. Room garden suite was large and private …. Outdoor shower lovely:)

Dit was onze eerste stop en kennismaking met Zuid-Afrika. Dit is een hele mooie rustige omgeving en het verblijf is erg leuk! De kamer is groot, leuk huisje en wij hadden een buiten douche :) Het bed is goed, vriendelijk personeel en een heel goed restaurant. Ontbijt is uitgebreid! De tuin is erg mooi, die konden we vanuit onze hangmat op onze veranda bekijken. Wat een rust en wat een goed begin van onze reis!

Gute Adresse für unseren Abschlussaufenthalt nach den Safaris. Praktisch ausgestattet, allerdings einfach. Blick über die Anlage auf die umliegenden Landschaft super. Pool schön, allerdings kalt . Essen sehr gut. Personal freundlich.

Das Rissington Inn ist toll gelegen zum Kruger und daher ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in den Nationalpark. Wir waren eine Nacht hier, die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und hell. Die Umgebung ist toll und es gibt einen Pool. Das Essen ist auch gut, das Frühstücksbuffet groß und abwechslungsreich. Es gibt vegane und vegetarische Gerichte. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist der Fokus auf Nachhaltigkeit. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass die Atmosphäre für unser Empfinden sehr kühl und der Umgang mit den Gästen kurz angebunden ist. Uns fehlte die Herzlichkeit, die wir aus anderen Unterkünften gewohnt sind. Auch wenn das sicher nicht böse gemeint ist: Wir haben uns aus diesem Grund nicht ganz willkommen gefühlt. Eine nette Begrüßung, generell auf Gesagtes zu antworten und Augenkontakt sind kleine Nuancen, die einen Unterschied machen könnten… an anderer Stelle war der Service toll: zum Beispiel wurde unser Auto gereinigt und auch das Zimmer war sehr sauber.
