The room was clean and very comfortable. The entire motel is very well maintained. The new owners are on track to provide as nice a facility as did their predecessors. I will stay at Northwoods many times in the future.

This is a nice 9-room motel a couple of miles south of downtown Hayward and is a good start if you are visiting the multiple lakes south of Hayward. The place has obviously been recently remodeled and is very comfortable. We liked the little touches like the dim nightlight in the bathroom. The decor was very "woodsy" and fit well with the woods around the building. We also liked the chairs and picnic tables set up in front of the building.

Very nice little Mom & Pop motel. Denise at the desk mentioned that they had taken over as new owners Two Days Ago! As we are also former small motel owners, had a nice conversation & found them very enthusiastic about doing a great job! Room was clean & fresh, beds were good, everything ship-shape ( and we ought to know!)

Very clean and nice. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because we found the mattresses to be too firm for our tastes and we both awoke with back aches each morning. The only other thing of note, and it really doesn’t matter that much, is the owner lacks people skills and we found him to be a bit gruff. Having said that, we did have a minor issue with the heat/AC that was due to operator error and he was quick to come and show us how to operate it.

This is a great family owned/mom&pop place. Everything is neat and tidy, the room was clean. This is *not* one of those places where your feet get black from walking across the carpet. The owners even gave me an extra towel to wipe off my motorcycle (not that I would have used a "good" towel). There were even enough convenient wall plugs to charge gadgets.

Very nice motel that was CLEAN(!), very cost-effective, and had all the amenities that we needed. We especially liked being able to park directly in front of our room for unloading/loading luggage. Our only suggestion would be that the lighting in the room be a bit brighter - we felt like we were in a cave at nighttime when the curtains were drawn - but then we are older, so we always appreciate a little more light :-)

One of the cleanest small family run motels I have ever encountered. The floors, bathroom area, mirror and sink prep area and kitchen area were all perfect. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows comfortable and plenty. They had a recliner in the room and it appeared like it was brand new. Room heat control and air controls were both easy to use and perfect. I just can't say enough about this lovely little gem.

The Motel was very nice last year when we stayed but the upgrades they have done there make it even better! Very clean and comfortable beds made it a very enjoyable stay!
