St Ives Bay Beach Resort

Two bedroom cabin was warm. Some mould on the roof in the main bedroom, flaking paint in areas and pretty grubby kitchen curtain. Very spacious bathroom area and towel warmer was lovely.

Currently staying at st Ives bay. Have a couple of caravans for few family members and whilst the one has been great the other has been nothing but issues. Reported to reception on the first day that no bed sheet left and the caravan was filthy. They sent someone around the day after to inspect the caravan who agreed it should not have been let out. After speaking with reception was told they would look to move us the following day only to revive a voice mail saying they were fully booked and could not move. Even though on the website there was availability for the remainder of the stay. Went back to reception and again was told nothing they could do for us. After inspecting the caravan the least they could have done was send someone around to give it a good clean but no this never happend either . Few days in found the cleaning card with the date of the last clean 3 week prior to or stay. Appalling customer service on site. The site and location is lovely but please use your money elsewhere as once you have paid and arrived they dont care. All pictures taken to evidence the experience.

Beautiful Location! Very nice, Luxury clean caravan. Helpful and polite Staff. Good food and good atmosphere. Left 1 star out due to being the unlucky one, to have an electricity pylon right outside the caravan (purple 21), you could hear the buzz. Other than that, everything was perfect.

This is an honest review so will include the positive and negative points. We booked a luxury caravan and I was pretty apprehensive prior to arriving having read some of the negative reviews. We arrived before check in time and were advised by guest services if the caravan was available earlier they would let us know. We went to the bar on site whilst waiting. The bar was nice with a lovely view of the beach. No one called to advise the caravan was ready so we headed down at around 4.30pm and collected the keys. To our surprise the caravan was lovely. Very clean and the bed was comfy. Fresh towels provided and a tea towel with a scourer bin bags and a mini washing up liquid which I thought was a nice touch. I took my own bath mat but wasn’t needed as that was provided too. There was a nice decking area with furniture. The site was quiet at night and we had a peaceful sleep each night. The grounds looked pretty tidy and well kept, we used the club onsite a few times that was ok and the animation team worked hard to entertain everyone. We had a day at the beach, the walk back up was pretty steep but worth the effort as the beach was stunning. My biggest gripe was the WiFi, the wifi in the bar areas was weak and we had no WiFi in the caravan (which we were fully aware of prior to booking) I just think WiFi should be available especially if u book a luxury accommodation. There was also no iron or hair dryer. All in all we had a lovely stay and the staff were very pleasant. We would certainly return here if wifi was included in the package.

We have been to many of these kinds of places and this one was one of the best. It was clean and tidy, a lovely chalet, and the park was excellent. There was good entertainment and a lovely beach a short stroll away. Hayle and St Ives were within easy driving distance and there was even a Lidl at the end of the road! It was also close to the dual carriageway for excellent links to the rest of Cornwall. I would highly recommend.

Before arriving at the Resort, the App provided a wealth of useful information which was very helpful in planning our stay there. The welcome and check in was very pleasant and efficient. The accommodation was very clean and spacious, however it lacks electrical points when so many electrical equipments have to be plugged in, electrical points with USB inputs would be a bonus. Although the sofas are comfortable they are deep so some cushions should be provided. Maintenance was very prompt. The toilet door was not locking properly and within half an hour of reporting the issue on the App the Maintenance Crew was around to sort it out. The evening entertainment was great and very much enjoyed by everyone. Overall the stay was very pleasant and comfortable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
