OYO Cocketts Hotel

Nice and friendly place. Shower was great. The issue I have is not enough power point.

Very disappointing. Have stayed here before and everything was fantastic. OYO hotels need to up their game otherwise they will lose business! The room (number 7) was awful. A cupboard for an en-suite, stained carpet and a general lack of freshness in a very small room. It is a very old building with uneven walls, floors and ceilings but everywhere has a neglected, slightly grubby and uncared feel to it! No atmosphere, carpets not vacuumed in the lounge area and one evening the entrance hallway to our set of stairs was blocked with boxes, bags, two chairs askew and a few bits of rubbish on the floor along with keys just dropped. No menus for breakfast and got the impression it was just a full English breakfast offered with items of your choice within that! A huge decline from a few years ago. We won’t return!

Average or slightly less Swift assistance on ringing the number on arrival. Room was in need of a bit of TLC. Mould near windows, flaking paint, dirty shower head etc. Outside of this it was fine! Mattress was exceedingly poor, pillows average. Anything not mentioned was not noteworthy, nor remarkable. A good breakfast however!

The shower was black mould around the outside and leeks all over the floor when used. Fire alarm went off and no staff on site that were called on the mobile and came from the pub about 5 minutes later. First breakfast was cold and unbeatable just had cereal after,overall not too cleaver will not use again!!!
