Chapi Dreamy Home

Really nice setting high up in the hills. We stayed in the separate apartment which has a living area and bedroom. There are 2 beds in theory but one of them is in the roof space above the other bed and is accessed by a ladder. There was also a little kitchenette but not really set up for anything other than making a cuppa or heating something up on the camping stove. The outside area is lovely with a small verandah area with great views over the surrounding hills and valley. The couple who live here with their 2 children were very friendly and you could eat with them in the main house or have dinner brought up to you. Stayed for 2 nights and had different local dishes each night. Breakfast is included each morning, the dinners are extra but good value. They can also recommend some easy walking trails in the area which enables you to walk through some local villages and see the rice terraces and grazing buffaloes. The only slight issue was that they are building another house next to the main one and so there was unfortunately a lot of building noise while we were there which did shatter the tranquil atmosphere for parts of the day. Overall a lovely homestay not too far from Sapa but far enough away to feel like you in a different world!

I traveled solo in June and met Mai. She is so kind and her kids are adorable. It is absolutely comfortable and cozy. Feel like my home. I’m gonna come back with my family for the 2nd time. Highly recommended and feel a truly Sapa atmosphere

It was one of the best experience that I had in my life. The place is highly recommended. truly you can feel sapa atmosphere and clear air.the host there are considered my family now they are welcoming , helpful and very kind . i definitely recommend this place for everyone ☺️..

The house is located quite a distance from the main town so if you commit to this, your experience will be vastly different from a normal tourist to Sapa. You will be staying with Mai and her family in her home with meals that she prepared for everyone. It will be a true “homestay” experience in the middle of an ethnic village that you can explore and, on a good day, enjoy a good trekking trip and one of the best views you can find in Sapa. Personally, I come to Sapa for the nature and the people more than for the services of a city and for my needs, this is the best place.
