My reservation included breakfast and dinner. When checking in, the receptionist informed us that we were not told to eat Kaiseki cuisine, so the included breakfast and dinner can only be provided with bento boxes for use in the room.
I have booked many hotels in other cities in Japan, but I have never had a bento with meals included. If this hotel was a special case, the system should have prompted it when booking, making you feel like you were cheated.
Other services and environmental sanitation are very good.

Although it is a long-established hotel, it was well-cleaned and, although you could feel the history, it was clean and we had a very comfortable stay.
The room we stayed in was a VIP room, so it was larger than we expected, and we were able to stretch our legs out in the bathtub and relax in the bath.
Pick-up and drop-off was also arranged according to each guest's schedule, which we were very grateful for.
The location is also excellent, with Itsukushima Shrine just a three-minute walk away.
I would like to visit again, this time with my parents.

Nice traditional Japanese style hotel. Nice beds. We couldn’t book breakfast or dinner upon arrival. Very close to torii. Would stay here again

This may be the hotel closest to Itsukushima Shrine. The room is very large, and with the tatami, it feels like it can accommodate 4 people, which is suitable for a family. There are Chinese-speaking waiters for check-in and dining, which is a good experience. The food level is not inferior to a well-known chain hot spring hotel I stayed in a few days ago. Fortunately, I was arranged to have a room with a terrace and rocking chair that can see the big torii. It is worth staying on the island for one night. You can go to see the night view of the torii at night, and you can hear the deer calling when climbing the mountain in the morning.

6月1日(日)から1泊、5階の和洋室デラックス(99㎡)520号室に滞在。12畳の数寄屋造りの和室、ベッドルーム、リビングスペースからなる、とても広い空間で、ゆっくりと寛ぐことができた。特に印象的だったのは、窓辺に置かれたデスクとチェアから眺める、宮島の豊かな自然の緑で、宮島の風景が絵画のようだった。設えも上品で、高級感も感じられた。 館内は老舗高級旅館ならではの上質な雰囲気と、観光旅館らしい雰囲気がミックスされていて、気負うことのない、カジュアルな滞在が楽しめたが、複雑な構造と、若干の古さは否めない。大浴場も大きくはないが、おちついた雰囲気の内風呂と露天を堪能できた。 夕食、朝食はレストランでいただいたが、どちらも食材のクオリティが高く、特に牡蠣や広島牛はすばらしかった。 ただ、もう少しメニュー構成に食べ飽きない変化を求めたいところではある。 スタッフは比較的若い方が多いが、しっかりとトレーニングされているのが感じられ、全体的に好印象だった。 全体的な印象としては、宮島らしい雰囲気を感じられ、島の風情を満喫できる良い宿だと思う。

It is really worth staying on the island for 1 or 2 nights. The room was a spacious 1/2 Japanese 1/2 Western, twin beds and a large window. Some confusion with staff when being shown to our room and with information on the shuttle service. Dinner and breakfast were included. The degustation dinner was beautifully presented, but our server was a bit painful with the understanding of English. We tried, as she wanted to learn English for a future trip, but it took up so much time. The public onsen here can get very busy later in the night.

This hotel was incredible! Beautiful hotel, rooms, gardens, lounge and private and public onsens.. Great location, shuttle service and excellent service! So nice to be on the island at night and in the morning without the crowds. Highly recommend!
