Hotel with very large Japanese-style room with dining area, hall... shower separate from the bathroom. Very friendly staff and nice onsen. It is relatively close to the places of interest as the town is very small, but there is a small slope to get there which can be tiring if you go with a lot of luggage. Nevertheless, a very pleasant stay.

Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

The hotel is located on a nice quiet street just off the main street on Miyajima. The hotel is quite old, but this did not spoil our impression at all. It was unusual to sleep on a tatami instead of a bed. In Miyajima everything closes quite early; on the ground floor of the hotel there are vending machines with water, cold drinks, and beer, which was very convenient. The sauna is also open until 12 am!

Structure 5 min walk from the main street and the port, with very kind and professional staff. The hotel is a few years old, but I must say that everything works well our stay was pleasant. Ryokan style room that is prepared for the night before dinner. It has free laundry. Good solution.

A six-story barracks without any charm or atmosphere frequented by groups of tourists. The rooms reproduce those of ancient inns but the context is sadly different. Without atmosphere, the discomfort remains. On the island EVERYTHING, absolutely everything, closes between 5 and 6 pm. Eating is a problem... despite the request well in advance (weeks) at the hotel they did not give us the opportunity to have dinner or breakfast... an essential service in a place where you risk running out of food should be guaranteed and offered to all customers without leaving them in difficulty. This lack of service and such early closure of all catering activities makes it inadvisable to stay overnight on the island.

I read a few comments before writing mine and can easily understand the criticisms. Now, it is a hotel like hundreds of others in Japan, all as "old" and full of constraints, specific to the country quite simply! In other words, a summary of local culture with its pros and cons. The bathroom is functional but quite spacious, well equipped and with quality products. The dining room is a stain on the other hand, very impersonal, but the dinner is gargantuan, very varied and with quality products. We only had the Japanese breakfast, a little complicated for the children. Finally, a good experience for us, with shuttle to the ferry. There is English-speaking staff (but not really in the restaurant where you discover in your mouth what you eat).
