Overall very friendly and pleasant experience. During dinner one plate served to us was dirty so we had to ask for it to be swapped but was dealt with promptly. Morning coffee served in the lounge cannot be taken back to the rooms which is pretty inconvenient. The meals served were delicious.

Really friendly staff and a spacious and comfortable room. The public bathhouse was a bit disappointing, but other than that it was very nice. Unlike the old exterior, the inside has been remodeled so you can relax comfortably. I want to come again next time. The people who served dinner and breakfast were friendly and the service was good.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The shuttle service from the station to the hotel was so useful. And even on our last day, when we went walking on the island and we left cases at the hotel, the offered to bring our cases to the station. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and tranquil. If we could have changed our plans we would have liked to stay an extra night. Miyajima itself is a beautiful island.

Eines der besten Hotels (Ryokan) auf unserer Reise in Japan. Was das Hotel auszeichnet, ist, neben der Lage, das Personal und der Service, was wir auch so danach nicht mehr erlebt haben. Wenn wir 12 Punkte oder mehr für das Personal/den Service vergeben könnten, wäre es hier mehr als angebracht. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend, ruhig an einer kleinen Bucht mit Hafen und Blick auf Hiroshima gelegen, fernab von den Touristenmassen. Man kann im Hafen schwimmen, sollte aber evtl. den „Tsutsumigaura Strand“ (15 Min. zu Fuß vom Hotel aufsuchen) – an der Rezeption nach Matte, Handtücher und evtl. Shuttle-Service fragen. Das Zimmer (japanischer Stil mit Meerblick) ist gut und der Blick fantastisch. Dies gilt auch für das Kaiseki Ryori-Dinner, welches auf dem Zimmer serviert wurde (abhängig von der Auslastung). Das Frühstück und der Frühstücksraum waren gut, aber nicht außergewöhnlich im Vergleich zum Dinner. Einziges Manko ist, das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, was man auch sieht. Dies mindert aber die Gesamterbeurteilung allerdings in keiner Weise. Insgesamt ist das Hotel absolut und ohne Einschränkungen zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Personal für den außergewöhnlichen Service und das Erlebnis!

We felt very well cared for. The meals were absolutely devine. The vanue was authentic; set in a serene environment with a view of the ocean and mountains. We celebrated 72nd birthday. The staff prepared an awesome looking and delicious cake. They even sang and wished a very happy birthday. We all had a great time and wish to return to stay longer next time!
