★Delicious breakfast and attractive sea taxi★
I stayed here for 1 night and 2 days with breakfast included.
I chose this hotel because it is close to Miyajima to visit Miyajima on the morning of the second day, but if there is a reservation or availability in advance, you can take a sea taxi like a houseboat from the hotel to Miyajima.
Unlike the jet ferry, you can cross the sea quietly and leisurely, so it is not cold even in winter, and it was great to cross the sea while enjoying the beautiful sea surface and scenery bathed in the twin rocks and the morning sun. (The taxi is free and the Miyajima entrance fee is only 100 yen for adults.) The front desk staff at the hotel were very friendly and were happy to take family photos. There was a New Year's event such as a kendama tournament, free drinks were always available, and at certain times you could eat free parfaits, so one corner of the lobby was always bustling and had a very warm atmosphere. The entire sea side is made of large glass, so you can always see the sea, and it is a lobby with a good view and a sense of openness. On warm days, it seems nice to relax and enjoy the view while drinking a free drink on the terrace. The room was clean, but the toilet was a little old and smelly. Even when I wasn't using the toilet, it smelled, so I was a little reluctant to use the sink next to it. (Especially when brushing my teeth) I think it's just a difference between individual toilets, so this may depend on the room.
The hot springs were a little low in temperature both inside and outside the building, and only warmed me up slightly. It was a little cold for January. The free ice cream, juice, and alcohol servers were popular and crowded with people after the bath. My children also enjoyed the ice cream. I was surprised at how delicious the breakfast the next morning was. I only had a small amount because I was planning to go around Miyajima and eat food, but if that wasn't the case, everything was so delicious that I wanted to eat my fill. If you have room in your stomach, the soft serve ice cream after the meal was a little different and very delicious, so I recommend it! We drove to the hotel, but there is also a free shuttle bus from Miyajimaguchi Station, so it's easy to access. Even if you can't get on the bus, it's a short taxi ride away. There are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying snacks and other necessities in advance. For breakfast (lol) I would definitely use this hotel again next time.
