A very pleasant place to stay if your aim is to visit the north coast of Devon. Brian and Helen are proactive hosts and the breakfast is just perfectly cooked. What a way to start the day! Well out in the countryside you need to be aware of the need to prebook evening meals

We stayed here for 3 nights, for our wedding anniversary. We knew as soon as we arrived that we'd made the right choice, Helen and Brian were so friendly and accommodating. The place was spotlessly clean, our room was a great size with a huge bed and such a lovely view. Breakfast was freshly made to order by Brian and was delicious. There was also a good selection of cereals, yogurts and spreads. The gorgeous old house is in a peaceful position yet only a short drive from lots of places to visit. We highly recommend it.

Great B & B High Clovelly
Lovely cosy B and B the room was a good size, and en suite bathroom, the couple Brian and Helen were great, lovely people, friendly and informative, the breakfasts was fantastic omelette to die for all that you need for breakfast.

Brilliant stay
We had a brilliant stay at Southdown B&B, the bedroom is lovely and a really clean en-suite. The views are stunning out the window and the location is great. The hosts Helen and Brian were fab, really friendly and accommodating, and they cooked a top notch breakfast. We would definitely recommend to anyone and will be back in the future I’m sure. Thank you for having us!

We had a lovely stay here at Southdown! The rooms were spotless with lovely thoughtful touches - the little extras that show that the hosts really want you to enjoy your stay! Breakfasts were hearty and cooked to order with a selection of cereals, fruit and juice. Perfect for access to the SW way and a comfortable bed to rest in afterwards! Would highly recommend!

I know we have been home a while now but our stay at Southdown was absolutely superb. Helen and Brian were so friendly and easy to chat with, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was immaculate and spotless, the views are great and the breakfast always fresh, hot and great quality cooked perfectly by Brian. My only gripe is I wish we had stayed longer....we will be back very soon. All the best Helen and Brian and many thanks for making us feel at home. Kev & Chris... Grimsby x
