We chose Biggin Hall for an overnight family group to stay in celebration of our daughter's special birthday. The location was perfect as we walked at Milldale during the day and went wild swimming at Youlgreave the following morning, both within a 10 minute drive. (Although you can walk direct from the property also). We had an evening meal and breakfast as a group of 11 and our food was delicious . The property and it's setting are just lovely, and the rooms are in perfect keeping with the style of the property. The staff are wonderful and attentive and nothing was too much trouble, we were so grateful for their help in making our stay perfect, thank you!!

This hotel is a hidden gem, every member of their staff was happy, friendly & gave excellent service The food is excellent, with enough choice to be all freshly prepared, the packed lunch is an excellent addition, freshly made sandwiches & fruit etc Our room ‘31’ in the courtyard was newly refurbished, & done so with a great finish The hotel is well placed for Buxton & Bakewell & all the lovely countryside in-between A large number of other guests are returning regularly, which speaks well of the hotel 10/10 to all the staff, keep up the fantastic work that you do !!

I recently stayed at the Biggin Hall Hotel for 3 days with 20 work colleagues and can't recommend the hotel highly enough. It's in an idyllic situation away from any main roads, surrounded by its own gardens and then quiet fields. The food is absolutely superb, with plenty of choice, the drinks list extensive, and the staff really couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable with nice touches such as a mini fridge in each room containing fresh milk and a complimentary drink, along with lovely toiletries and fluffy towels. From the hotel there are lots of footpaths, including to the nearby Tissington Trail, Biggin Dale (and thence Wolfscote Dale) or Hartington. It's about 5 miles to the North end of Dove Dale.

I surprised myself having lived about 30 miles away that I’d never come across this hotel before. It has a very good standard of customer service with lovely grounds and an excellent dinner menu. Quite high in the hills I imagine it would be chilly in Winter,but there are two lovely lounges where you could while away your time. I found the dining chairs uncomfortable, but the conservatory they were situated in had a brilliant view of the garden, so that helped. Can’t wait to have another stay.

Unfortunately only stayed for 2 nights but what an amazing experience. Room was perfect and the food was absolutely outstanding. The hotel grounds were superb and offered a tranquil retreat after a day sightseeing in nearby Buxton and Bakewell. Sets the benchmark for how other hotels will be viewed/judged.

This a superb hotel in an ideal location in the Peak District. The hotel food is amazing and you feel very looked after. The packed lunches provided each day are a wonderful touch and make going to out walking or cycling for the day easy and fuss free. We very much enjoyed our stay and the food - especially the dinners - dinners were superb! We will be back to stay again!

A group of 6 friends and I had a fantastic 3 night stay at the lovely family hotel - Biggin Hall. In our room was a very generous complimentary drink station including a small bottle of Prosecco. The bed was super comfortable and we had a generously sized shower and bath tub in our ensuite. The food in the restaurant specialises in British cuisine which was delicious and we ended up eating in house all 3 nights! The staff were very friendly and forthcoming and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is situated in beautiful scenic countryside. At the front desk, we collected suggested walking guides which led us on some unforgettable expeditions. We visit Biggin Hall at least once every year and will definitely be returning again shortly. Thank you to all the staff for all their hard work!
