This hotel is located so close to Pooh Corner The room seemed to be refurbished recently, so it was clean and well-organized.

Fantastic 5* pub food in the gorgeous village, amazing staff very friendly and a brilliant 2 night stay, clean, cosy and comfortable. Returning at Christmas time for the festive season. The room was cosy, sweet and also had a great breakfast. Lots of lovely walks near by too

We arrived on Friday afternoon for a stay of three nights b&b and were pleased to find a pub that is not just a restaurant but is also a place where locals drink which is good. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and the shower worked. Now we come to the part which didn’t work out so well, the continental breakfast. Breakfast was hit and miss. The choice was very limited and became more so the later you arrived at your table but on Monday morning there was no breakfast at all. We arrived in the dining room to find a table had been laid but no food and no staff, in fact we seemed to be the only people in the pub. We hung about for half an hour then cleared off to find somewhere else to eat. I complained by email and eventually received a reply stating “ Breakfast is included as part of your stay and is not separately charged. While it is considered complimentary, I completely understand your disappointment. I appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention, and I will investigate what happened to ensure it doesn’t occur again.” If I book and pay for bed and breakfast I expect to get bed and breakfast otherwise it is room only the same as if I bought fish and chips the chips should definitely be included.

We visited for our birthday's, staying in Pooh's Room for three nights, eating there twice. It's in a gorgeous part of the country, and the 'inn' is a lovely building. The bar was busy when we arrived but we were checked-in efficiently. The room was lovely - the Winnie-the-Pooh wallpaper a cute addition - and it was clean and comfortable. Food was great throughout. Everything we had in the evening was delicious. Both of us were gluten free and there were options. The restaurant was very busy both nights we ate there - which must be a good sign. The bar was also busy every evening, I presume it's the 'local', but service was always quick. Breakfast was good. The breakfast included was more on the light side, but we were always still full from the evening before, it wasn't too much of an issue. You can order (and pay for) more if you wish. Staff were great. Everybody was so friendly, but a special shoutout must go to Dean who was fantastic. Great service, made us laugh so much, and served with the perfect level of sass I mentioned we were gluten free when making the booking, and they went out of their way to put gluten free biscuits in the room for our arrival. I also mentioned it was our birthday's, and we returned to a bottle of Prosecco. Just a fantastic place

Lovely bedroom decor and comfortable, but too dark in the room to put make-up on. No plug in bathroom sink and broken tap handle were inconvenient. Breakfast was included -a disappointingly basic continental with poor service. You have to pay extra if you want anything cooked.

staying at the anchor inn for two nights.this B&B still opened, but their restaurant closed for renovation.it is “Winnie the pooh” theme accommodation.they have pooh, piglet, kanga, tigger rooms. i stayed at tigger room, actually i booked pooh room via email, but they closed at the end of May,maybe management changed.so they arranged tigger room for me. anyway, tigger is pooh’s friend,so it is great too, the room is spacious, with TV,cabinet, fan, bathroom with bathtub and shower, free drinks, kettle and toiletries.but the bathtub stopper cant work, water all drained away. breakfast served at their kitchen, zak or jack(not sure which spelling) prepared it for me,though simple breakfast, the portion quite big, satisfied with it. Hartfield is a good place to explore everything about Winnie the pooh.the location close to pooh stick bridge and the 100 acre wood.there is a pooh corner shop nearby,it is a cafe, but it has a small museum attached ,you can find many info about the author, the illustrator and of course the pooh books.i will be back, and hope that time, the restaurant already reopened, and i will appoint pooh room again, hope my dream will come true.
