Best Western Plus Grims Dyke Hotel

Paid a lot of money for a room with a very small bath and no proper shower. Very disappointed.

Beautiful setting and private parkland location. Room standard very average or below average and needs updating but price reflects this. Breakfast was very good

Lovely hotel but barman tried to charge for 2 free glasses of wine and reception tried to charge for 4 breakfasts when we had only ordered 2. Other than that everything was good.

Hotel in main house much nicer than the garden rooms, only went to reception then upto the room, receptionist very welcoming. Not much else there no Gym etc. Overal good to stop in

The Best Western Grim’s Dyke Hotel is a disgrace to the brand. A simple, polite question from our group about bringing in food (since the kitchen was closed) was met with rudeness and condescension. Rather than hospitality, we were treated like a nuisance — and things only got worse when I raised a concern. The manager, Kavita, responded with a cold, dismissive email that completely ignored my experience and instead centred on her own. It was shockingly unprofessional and showed a complete lack of training, empathy, and basic customer care. This isn’t just my experience — countless TripAdvisor reviews report similar encounters with this manager: rude behaviour, staff being shouted at, overcharging, and an atmosphere that makes guests feel unwelcome. It’s a pattern, not a one-off. As someone who has stayed at many Best Westerns, this location stands out for all the wrong reasons. It damages the brand’s reputation and undermines the standards regular guests have come to expect. Avoid this hotel. There are far better places in the area where professionalism and courtesy still matter.
