Lovely hotel but barman tried to charge for 2 free glasses of wine and reception tried to charge for 4 breakfasts when we had only ordered 2. Other than that everything was good.

Hotel in main house much nicer than the garden rooms, only went to reception then upto the room, receptionist very welcoming. Not much else there no Gym etc. Overal good to stop in

Went for a Sunday lunch. The food was amazing and the staff were attentive and friendly. The roast lamb was cooked beautifully. My husband had the roast serlion which was also stunning. The roast potatoes were crispy and the veg was really tasty. The yourkshire pudding was huge and had a satisfying crunch as well. Unfortunately the food was so good we forgot to take a photo but we remembered the desserts...lol

This is a lovely place for a break. The Hotel is set in beautiful grounds and offers has a very high standard of accommodation. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and there are great menu choices. We had our honeymoon here and return each year for our anniversary. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the Sullivan Suite for 3 nights. The staff are lovely, friendly and very polite. They were very helpful to me personally (thank you all..!) and I greatly appreciate their kindness. The hotel itself is quirky, full of history with a pleasant ambience. We had supper on our arrival day and the food was excellent; plenty of choice and also a good selection on the Bar Menu as well. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and clean - the decor suited the history of the building. The gardens are beautiful. Come and stay here, it's full of charm.

Popped in for a quick snack on a working day and was directed to the morning room where I enjoyed a sandwich and a pot of tea. Perfect place to relax. Excellent service and good food. Well trained staff with friendly, welcoming manner. Looking forward to my next visit.
