The overall feeling of the hotel is good, the location is closer to the Newark Broad train station. A little further away from Path. We loved how close it was to downtown and very close to Penn Station to take the train to NYC. It was clean and bright and their restaurant was very nice. The staff was not very friendly. We got locked out of our room because the battery was dead. They could not replace the batter so we had to back up all of our stuff and move rooms. We did not get so much as an apology from the staff about the inconvenience. When I talk to them about the room change I asked if they could make sure the fridge was plugged in since we would be out when the room was ready. The front desk guy just said ”you will have to ask housekeeping to do that” I had no access to housekeeping to ask them. The evening front desk staff was very nice.

Hygiene is OK, but the service is really not good. The front desk clerk had several late-night faces, without even a hint of a smile, and forgot to give us breakfast coupons when we checked in; There is no hair dryer in the room, and the bottles of body wash and conditioner are empty, and no one has refilled them after saying twice.
