The room is large; the supporting facilities and equipment are good. It is equipped with a Dyson hair dryer and a kettle that Chinese people like. But my people live
I feel super bad: 1.) I arrived at the hotel on a long-distance international flight 2:30 minutes earlier than the stipulated 3pm check-in time. Jalisa, the check-in service staff, told me very forcefully that if I wanted to check in in advance, I would have to pay US$75đ˛ There was nothing negotiable room. 2) After finding another service staff to explain the situation and help us check in, they were told that we had to pay 5 days of room charges and a deposit of US$400 (I paid all 5 days of room charges when booking with Ctrip) and needed to check and wait. âď¸I also actively called Ctrip, and 1 hour and 30 minutes have passed since the check-in procedures were completed. 3.) The hot water was not hot when I took a shower on the first day I checked into the hotel. I couldnât take a shower and called room service. A repairman came to fix it and the hot water was a little hotter. I thought the hot water â¨ď¸ should continue to be maintained the next day. Unfortunately, there was still no hot water the next dayâ¨ď¸ I took a shower and called Room service. No one answered the phone. I called the front desk 7 times in a row and no one answered. I had to go downstairs to the hotel front desk to report the hot water problem (same experience) Jalisaâs attitude was also super badđ She just said very coldly that I will take note of your needs. I then asked when someone will come to help me fix the hot water problem. The answer was that I donât know because it was late (9:00 local time). 45pm) I said that the hotel has 24-hour service, but she said no and kept giving you all kinds of excuses. I was very angry. At this time, a male service staff next to me (after completing the service procedures for another guest) looked at me. Go down and help me, inform me that I will contact someone to repair it and ask me to go back to the room to wait (with the help of the male service staff, I got hot water after about 10 minutesâ¨ď¸ and can take a shower) 4.) In the following days, whenever I pass by the front desk, I will go back to the room and wait. When I met Jalisa (the front desk clerk), she gave me a cold look. This is my stay experience of 6 days and 5 nights.đ đ

The hotel is not big, there is no courtyard garden or something; there is no Chinese food variety for breakfast. If you eat the Western food taste, you can accept the waiter. I am very enthusiastic and come over and ask if you want coffee. You can ask the waiter at the door to fry the eggs and ask the waiter for soy sauce. (They really have it) is not high in terms of cost performance. The parking lot at the entrance of the hotel is useless. I don't know if I want to charge. The hotel is very close to the medical center and can be walked; not far from Rice University, it takes at least 10 minutes to walk.

Amazing stay. I know post pandemic some Intercontinentals have slightly dropped in some areas but this property is definitely not one of them. Clean, comfortable rooms, beds very relaxing and quickly got to sleep. All employees I encountered (from Kate who checked me in) to the young bartender and waiter in the lounge who worked dinner on the 19th were all top grade. NOTE - my Uber driver drove right by and turned in to the Doubletree next door. There really isn't a prominant sign on the road. So be mindful when you get there. If that was the only flaw (and it was) that means the property may just be the best hotel in Houston.

A Stage IV cancer diagnosis makes your world stop: so many unknowns, so many decisions, so much uncertainty. When seeking treatment at MD Anderson, I selected to stay at the Hilton Medical Center. As a Gold Status member, certain privileges like room upgrades and food credits are afforded to the customer. I have been staying at this hotel on each trip to MD Anderson Cancer Center since October of 2022. Most times, my stay had to be modified, either extended or shortened. This is quite common, and, as the hotel staff acknowledged, something they work with on a daily basis. When undergoing treatments, flexibility is key. I have never had an issue modifying my stay. Sadly, this was not the case on my most recent trip in February 2023. I was booked for a two night stay, but had to go home a day early because I was literally too sick to undergo chemotherapy. When I checked out about 10AM, a manager (Karla) informed me she had chosen to enforce the one night penalty policy. This had NEVER been done before, and when I expressed my concern, she told me several different versions of untruths. She said the âpolicy had changedâ and also that she âtried to remove the charge and the computer would not allow her to do so.â When I called the Hilton Honors Customer Service, I spoke with Carl who explained that the policy states that the hotel âmayâ charge fees. It is at the discretion of the hotel employee. Carl called the hotel and spoke with Courtney, who said I would not be charged for the additional night. But, Karla would have none of it. I was going to have to pay. On a follow up call with Karla on Tuesday, she refused to grant me the courtesy of waiving the cancellation penalty. She did acknowledge that the courtesy of waiving penalties had been granted in the past, but she was choosing to penalize a loyal Gold Status cancer patient who was so sick she had to return home immediately. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled.

We stayed for one night while visiting our daughter at UH. Was ok for driving distance to UH. All the staff were very lovely and helpful. We asked for early check in and weâre immediately accommodated. Everything is new and very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable. We didnât have any meals at the hotel so unable to comment on that. The only thing was we werenât aware of the parking charge ($15) but that didnât spoil our stay. Great stay for the price we paid!

The hotel is good and has been staying here. There is a Hong Kong guy who speaks Chinese at the front desk. The people are very nice. There are some restaurants around, as well as gallaria, and it is convenient to eat and eat. Traveling with children is very good, the bed is big. Breakfast is average. The hotel offers great amenities! Front desk and housekeeping staff were kind and courteous. The only draw back from our stay was the front desk manager, Ebonie. I was charged 3 times for the high speed internet but wasnât given a choice to pick free or high speed because it automatically did it for me. I tried to explain this to her but every time I try to, she would interrupt and say she wonât take off the charges. I really didnât mind $15 charge, but she couldâve better explained the WiFi situation rather than coming off rude. After I asked for a business card, she then removed two charges which was odd. Everything was great except this experience. I work at a Marriott property and have been to other properties but have not seen a manager act this way towards guest. She definitely needs management training. Other than that great property and staff.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at a youth hostel that truly stood out for its exceptional qualities. Nestled in a residential area, its location was incredibly convenient, offering a tranquil retreat just a bike ride away from the city centerâless than 10 minutes to be exact. This made for peaceful nights, ensuring a restful sleep in a safe environment.
The hostel is run by a delightful couple whose hospitality knew no bounds. They were not only eager to assist with any issues that arose but also went above and beyond by providing bicycles. This thoughtful touch significantly enhanced my mobility around Houston, allowing me to reach various destinations swiftly.
What set this hostel apart was the attention to detail and the array of complimentary amenities, including cookies, milk, cereal, coffee, and tea. The cleanliness and smart technology throughout the house contributed to a seamless stay, making it the best hostel experience I've ever had. The bathroom towels folded into swan shapes were a testament to the owners' dedication to detail, adding a touch of elegance and care.
The warmth of the place was akin to being at home, with the owners always ready for a chat, eager to answer questions, and share their stories and experiences. A highlight for me was the world map on the living room wall, where guests could pin their home countriesâa fun and interactive way to connect with fellow travelers.
In summary, this hostel was more than just a place to stay; it felt like a home, or perhaps more accurately, a homestay. It's undoubtedly the best hostel I've ever stayed in globally, blending the comfort of a home with the adventurous spirit of a hostel.
The hotel is in a great location. Itâs close to everything you need. Itâs clean, quiet, and has friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again when Iâm back in the Houston area. Bernard was really friendly and kind to everyone he encountered.
JjennifermN1408IFI travel frequently for pleasure and work. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming. I genuinely felt they went out of their way to make my stay the best it could be. My dog traveled with me and he got spoiled too by the staff. Will be back again soon. This will always be my first choice for stays in Houston. The staff at this hotel are top notch! Thank you all for that, you made this visit stand out from other properties. Ross and I can't wait to visit again soon!
GGuest User Upon check in, we went to our room only to find out the key card/lock would not work. The concierge was very helpful and said he'd send the engineer up to assist. We waited about 10 minutes, but I understand the engineer was very busy assisting with other patrons' key card/lock issues. So we had to leave the hotel for dinner and come back. The concierge said he would have the engineer test the card/lock to ensure we would be able to get into our room later that evening. Upon our return to the hotel room, we still could not get in. We contacted the night concierge, and she called the engineer. We waited another 15 minutes for him to show up. At that point, he troubleshot the issue and could not get into the room. He said he would need other tools to get us in. So we waited another 10 minutes in the hot and muggy hallway for him to come back with crowbars. He was finally able to get us in; this was after about 30 minutes total of waiting in the hot hallway.
Now I do not blame the engineer or concierges; they were just doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. But a very nice hotel like yours should have a better fail safe system in place than crowbars. Kind of scary that someone could pry open a room with a small crowbar or two.
GGuest UserI was in a rush and needing to go to the passport office- This hotel is conveniently located two blocks away. Upon entry I was greeted warmly and it felt like an upscale home. While my room was small and quaint, itâs what I paid for. The bed was comfortable with four fluffy pillows ready to welcome my head from a days worth of travel. The food here was excellent with super fast service. What I ate? Dinner: steak and frites with french fries. Breakfast: Eggs over easy, bacon, croissant with jam, potatoes (potatoes were not my favorite but they werenât horrible). Lunch: chicken alfredo. I enjoyed Edgarâs Hermano and the staff we so polite and helpful, pointing me in the right direction because Iâm oblivious to signs.
Iâm general the staff were super friendly, my room was clean with complimentary cookies and was an overall amazing experience at. For an upscale hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem.
GGuest UserI checked in very late - around 8-9pm - and the woman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice. She made conversation with us about our trip and our jobs and told us all the available amenities. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was your average hotel breakfast, but had more options than I usually see so close to the end of breakfast time. They did not begin cleaning up breakfast right at the end time, which was nice because they let us keep grazing on what was left before finally taking it away about 20 minutes after breakfast had ended. The vending machines were really cool. There were cheap toiletries in the vending machine that you could buy in case you forgot something at home, and the cola vending machine had ice cold drinks for pretty cheap. I had a great time staying at this hotel and would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again. I've stayed at this brand of hotel (Choice Hotels) before and I've always had a great experience.
GGuest Userd by Marriot houston westchase î asa johnson â You CAUTION! THEY RELEASED MY PREPAID ROOMS AND WE ARRIVED ON A RED EYE FLIGHT TO NO WHERE TO STAY WITH ALL SURROUNDING HOTELS FULLY BOOKED. These rooms were confirmed for weeks before. They never called or emailed until that they oversold. I literally called when I was in my rental letting them know I was on the way, and they told me sorry I will need to call another hotel because they over booked. Why they gave someone both if our double rooms, I don't know??? I explained that is unacceptable. Here are photos of the rooms they sent put us in due to their inconsideration. Nasty just nasty. Mold, Hair, dirty, ran down. They finally sent a cancellation email after we showed up for our reservation. Austin Gerdes the Assistant is the general manager that gave away our rooms and he wouldn't return any calls. I felt bad for the poor lady on duty trying to clean up his mess. She gave him my number over the phone but he never called. How inconsiderate. This is a business trip and they started it off as a nightmare. Horrible practice and damaging to Marriot's reputation.
TTracy MorganI scheduled a stay on the wrong date. The manager comped me $5. Not a big discount but every bit helps. The room was very clean though it had a strong bleach smell. Lots of contractors and their families staying in the hotel and talking outside our door til late and early next a.m.
LLAI LEIThe room is suitable for a family of four, two beds about 1.5 meters, sleep well, breakfast is quite rich, just went to the United States to take the time difference, eat a rich breakfast and add a lunch is enough, sleep in the afternoon, dinner is also saved It is. Opposite is the NASA Space Center, there are some restaurants nearby, big supermarkets and shopping malls are nearby, and life is very convenient.
LLIANGThe hotel is located in the western part of the city, close to Chinatown. There are various restaurants around to choose from. Affordable, you can cook and eat by yourself, the yard is very quiet, it is recommended to stay at this hotel
