Restaurant: Very disapointing. The menu choice was only parmas or burgers, nothing else. We chose the Chicken Parma. It was not cheap at $28 but only came with chips, and no salad. Salad costs an extra $5. The menu stated that there was an 8% surcharge on weekends. We asked for water and was directed to a self-service tap. I had to fill my own bottle. What are you paying for if there is no service? We waited and waited for the meal. Too long. When the meal was ready, the chef rang the bell, but the waiter was in another room and didn't hear it. Credit to the Chef, who brought the meal to the table himself while it was warm My wife picked up her cutlery only to find that the knife had not been washed and had food on it from the previous customer. The Parma was not appetizing, the toppings slightly burnt and the chips were by far, overcooked. We couldn't finish it. I do actually like the hotel and believe that it should be delivering fair service like it used to. Common guys... fix it.

Beautiful large deck catering for a lot of people. We had a very large group with dogs & it suited the group. Was very hot in the sun till it went down behind the mountain, some of our group had to move tables. The food was very small serves ( whole group) and was expensive for what it was. I had the beef cheese burger & there was more chips than burger. For $27 I didn't expect to come away still hungry. Others had the steak which was $41 and also left hungry. Haven't been for 2 years but was very disappointed.

This place is in a great location at the bottom of the Hotham and Dinner Plain ski fields. The rooms are basic, clean and functional. The electric blankets are a great addition and kept me toasty warm. I had no issues with the noise but you can hear people moving around and getting up early to leave for the snow so if you’re a light sleeper this may be an issue. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food from the pub was good.

Stayed a few weeks ago in the 4 share using the hotel as a base for our snow trip. I wasn’t expecting much in the way of luxury as I knew it was basic accommodation but I would never stay here again. Why? One of the main reasons is that the heaters do NOT HEAT the small rooms and turn off after a few hours, we all slept in thermals a hoddie and trackies. This was really disappointing as there was NO HEAT AT ALL and all our snow gear was wet from a poor day on the mountain. This meant that the next day we were putting WET clothing on for our second day. Other reasons, the accommodation was poor. - Trundle and single bed not an adult size - Female hair and lint on the trundle bed - The bar fridge is the size of a shoe box, so don’t expect to have a few beers when you get back to your room - The shower head was leaking with water pissing out of the side - The tap leaked for a while - The curtain was hanging off the track and had cracks in it - No microwave or hair dryer (to try and dry our gloves) - Don’t look up at the cobwebs! Would not recommend this hotel and the only good thing i can say about it was the pub meal. Unfortunately they cannot claim to be a base for a snow adventure as the one thing you desperately need is warmth.
