We stayed in the rustic cedar cabin and let me say it was rustic alright but not in a great way. The back door to the screened-in porch did not latch unless you really put some muscle in it. The entire house has a foundation that is failing as the floor is uneven; you could drop a marble and it would roll to one side of the house. The bathroom sink only had hot water as the cold water was shut off at the valve under the sink. If you opened the valve to get cold water it would run constantly and couldn't be turned off by the faucet control on top of the sink. This is a plumbing issue that should be addressed in a cabin that costs $350/night. The tub was missing some moulding where it meets the wall and you could see rot/mold/mildew. The kitchen was ill-equiped. Old pots and pans, limited silverware, no storage containers, no aluminum foil or plastic wrap. The beach is littered with goose poop and never saw anyone cleaning it up. Overall, I cannot recommend this place.

Beautiful spot on the lake
Beautiful spot on the lake! We stayed in a rustic cabin, which was fine for 2 nights. Parking was next to the cabin so very easy to unload the car. There are kayaks and canoes for guests to use, as well as life jackets available.

Booked a 5 night stay for August 2025, but family member requires surgery, so I had to cancel. I contacted Brian via email on 5/16/2025 and he assured me a refund. Now, 12 emails, 3 phone conversations and 5 weeks later, nothing but excuses. He is either Shady or Incompetent BEWARE I’ve been going here for years and always had a good experience, first time ever dealing with Brian. Not sure if it the “new management company” or if it’s him, but this is horrible.

Got there - no staff available- the first room was on the middle of renovations- had to ask the girl from the restaurant that don’t work in the hotel to help me- another room was dirty with old bed sheets- so they moved us to a small room- the area is really beautiful but the room was really really dirty with dead bugs everywhere

Nice cabin. Great location. Only complaint is the bbq grill didn’t have propane. Was planning on using for dinner. Could have done a lil better job with the snow removal. Other than that great stay at a reasonable rate. And shovel the top balcony off. I know it’s cold but some people still like too enjoy them.
