This was just a 2 night getaway for 2 friends to have fun and relax and get away from everyday work/stress.

The staff was wonderful so this is no reflection on them. Pool was closed they where waiting for a part, we had specifically booked because of the pool (no prior notice was given) The attached restaurant The White Horse Tavern had no AC even the bartender was sweating. Besides our room the rest of the hotel was as hot and it was 90 degrees outside so breakfast was not enjoyable either. Our room was dirty the bathroom was not completely cleaned they had to assign us another room. The ice machine on our floor was broken, we had to go to another floor for that. There was no decaf coffee and the same food was offered everyday of our stay.

Fomos conhecer essa cidadezinha minúscula na West Virginia, e ficamos neste hotel. Tudo lembra como se estivéssemos em um destino de praia ou de rios, até o cheiro do ambiente, tem um restaurante satisfatório e o lugar é bem frequentado por pessoas mais “natureba”.

We picked this hotel based on the proximity to Harper’s Ferry National Park. We were not disappointed in the location. The hotel was reasonably priced but we came to find out that was probably due to it being very much in need of updating. The indoor pool was a total disappointment as it had a green hue with visible dirt. However, the hotel/rooms were clean, staff very friendly and continental breakfast good. There is also a restaurant/bar on-site which was very convenient and we enjoyed. If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel this is not it, if you’re looking for a place to stay at night while out exploring the park during the day you should consider this hotel.

Serious Accessibility & Health Failures — Stay Away I stayed here June 14–15, 2025 for a school retreat. The hotel failed to provide a handicap-accessible room despite clear advance request for my companion with recent heart surgery. Our room was at the far end of a long hallway—dangerous given her condition. The mini-fridge was unusable, bedside lamps were broken, and during breakfast I became ill. The restroom had no toilet paper, and no staff came when I asked for help. They promised a refund but delayed until I escalated repeatedly, and they refused any fair compensation for the distress and health impact. I will not return to this property or any Choice Hotels brand.

Clean, quiet, comfortable, what else can one say about a motel. Breakfast was good and filling and free. Ate dinner there on first night, at hotel restaurant. Food was good, place was noisy however, they need to put up some noise absorbers in the ceiling or curtains to dampen it. The four of us had a hard time hearing each other as its a bar./restaurant type of place. Server was great and fast. Price was reasonable.

Staff was friendly and the location was good. View from the rooms was unexpectedly great as it sits on a large bluff, but the room itself was somewhat tired & worn as is typical of properties of this trim level. Despite this it was otherwise clean & comfortable for a single night. Attached restaurant was also good with decent food & drink prices. Would stay again should I find myself in the area.
