The hotel was pretty good but the bedroom was SOOO hot, it was cooler outside. Thankfully there was a fan for use in the room. Unfortunately I did not get a room near my travelling companion, not even on the same floor, despite being on the same booking. The lock on my door (room 16) did not work properly so I propped a chair against it overnight. A standard lamp in my room was not working. The room and bed was very comfortable and clean and despite being on the ground floor, right by the car park, I didn't get disturbed by other guests or cars. The restaurant was busy and a bit manic but the staff were pleasant and the vegan option I chose for dinner was very nice. Breakfast was okay but the plant-based cooked option I chose could've done with being hot. The coffee from the self-serve machine was really nice.

The room was basic, needs refurbishing. Bottle to get fresh milk was missing. First night we didn’t have a bath mat, 2nd night bath mat but no 2nd towel. Lighting in room was very bad. Restaurant had badly stained chairs. The staff on both hotel and restaurant/bar areas were excellent.

Come in for a meal with my friends and had an amazing time! James served us and was absolutely fantastic. Food was superb and couldn’t fault anything . Highly recommend and definitely returning again very soon. Thank you Green Man and Team!

Very nice hotel, which is in a separate building to the pub so there is little noise. The room was comfortable and well equipped. The check-in and cleaning staff were friendly and attentive. We ate in the pub restaurant on both nights of our stay because there was plenty of choice on the menu and the food was good. We were in the area for a family event and would definitely stay there again.
