Kingsmead Guest House is a beautiful place to stay. From the moment we arrived it was the perfect stay. Edith and Nikita could not have been more welcoming and accommodating, the staff were friendly, breakfasts were delicious and rooms are beautifully appointed.

The team here are amazingly helpful before we arrived, organising a reliable safe driver plus day trips during our stay. Rooms are immaculate, the breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared and we are here every evening and had tasty filling and good value meals lovingly prepared to our timetable. One of our family group was unwell for a day while staying here and the team rallied around here offering comfort and compassion over and above an impersonal ‘hotel’ experience. If you are visiting Harare; stay here

We had a wonderful stay at Kingsmead. The facilities are impressive, and the service was a very high standard. Food was also very well cooked. The only thing lacking was a gym. I like to exercise in the morning before work.

Kingsmead was the best experience! Everyone was incredibly attentive to our needs and the accommodations were beautiful and relaxing. Dinners were thoughtfully prepared and delicious, breakfast was wonderful and the honesty bar was a nice touch. Landscaping was gorgeous and well taken care of and the pool was a nice touch even if I just dangled my feet in it. There was no A/C, but with the cool temps at night there wasn’t a need for it.

A very beautiful guest house with very friendly stuff, always making sure that everything is well for you. Comfortable bed and pillows, would like to thank Shanice, Nikki and chef Tongai for the lovely service. The streak was exceptional.

The Kingsmead is comfortable and welcoming and unique. It is quiet, with a relaxing garden, great food and a fireplace that is perfect for reading at night. But what makes the place special is the staff. Each time I had a question, they were patient, always taking the time to go the extra mile. They directed me to the best markets, ordered a bag of coffee beans when I mentioned that I enjoy their coffee, drove to get a new bottle of sunblock that I had lost at the airport security. I have never received so much help at a hotel in my life. I can’t forget to mention the friendly head chef in the kitchen, Wilbert. He and his staff make the best food I have tasted on holiday. His chocolate lava cake is something one will never forget, the schnitzel was tender and juicy, his gravy is smooth, his “eggs over easy” for breakfast are made to perfection (no easy task), his homemade hot sauce is so good that I asked for the recipe and he kindly wrote it down. I don’t know how you find these great people, but it’s certainly appreciated and more than anyone could expect.

Guesthouse is decorated, designed and maintained beautifully. It’s a very comfortable stay. The team is fantastic and always ready to help. Located in a quiet/up market part of harare, with easy links to many landmarks and cultural centres. 100% recommend!

The house is very clean, comfortable and tastefully done. The staff are super accommodating and friendly while respecting your space. We felt extremely safe. Above all else my husband and I loved the homely feel of Kingsmead Guest house. Will definitely be going back!!!
