I could not have guessed I would find a place of this caliber in little Harare, but it was perhaps one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The common areas are peaceful and lovely for relaxing. The restaurant is outstanding and the service makes you feel like royalty. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Loved the rooms, especially the heated blanket in the cold season. Spacious, lovely decor. The restaurant is great. (Meals are a la carte). Staff are friendly. Truly feels like home away from home. Would recommend and will be back next time.

The stuff is amazing and ready to help when needed. The rooms are kept clean and have a homely feeling. Really liked the body wash there, it was soothing and the lotion is equally the same. As a resident you also get a complementary sweet (fudge) which is unusual compared to other places.

This is one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed at in all our years of travel. This was originally added to our itinerary so we would be able to get a COVID test. Luckily for us those tests are no longer needed, but what happened instead was we were able to stay at this stunning location to relax before our next safari camp. The rooms are huge with a beautiful garden porch and sitting area, along with a kitchen. The beds were so comfortable, and the shower was outstanding after six nights experiencing safari camp showers. The staff was warm and courteous. The grounds were immaculate. The main area is beautifully laid out with places to relax and read on comfortable chairs and couches, enjoy lunch or dinner in their quaint dining area or sit by the pool and enjoy a good book. We also enjoyed the best hamburger we have every tasted in their dining area. We would highly recommend this hotel for place to stay in between camps like we did or a great location and set up for business meetings.

Highland's House had a great room for us, relaxing outdoors and lounge space, and wonderfully attentive staff. The bed in our standard room slept well. The biggest plus for Highlands House is the beautiful grounds with luscious gardens and plenty of places to relax and enjoy a tea or glass of wine. Ditto for the interior lounge and bar. The property also serves a hearty continental and hot breakfast. The staff is super attentive and helpful with guiding you to local eats and arranging travel necessities like transfers, COVID testing, etc. A great, safe, relaxing place to stay that emphasizes service for anyone traveling to Harare.

Stayed for 6 nights. Whilst I agree that the location is great, beautiful rooms and surrounds, I was not impressed by the micro-aggressions I experienced with the service and was appalled by the way I was treated on departure. I had a few errands to run before checking out, and also needed to do at least a couple of trips from the room to the car with luggage. I took the large suitcase to put in the car before driving out on my errands. I was watched by at least 4 staff members chatting near my car as I was struggling with the suitcase with no offers of assistance. I drove out and came back (more than an hour before check out time) and went to get the rest of my bags: still under the very close scrutiny (nil assistance) of staff. I went to check out and pay the small charges left (accommodation had been paid in full on check in). I went to drive out and was stopped by the guard at the gate saying he had been instructed not to let me out as I had not left the room keys (!) I went back in and was told it was my "misunderstanding" because "I looked like I was in a rush". I definitely don't need to report my movements whilst a guest and perhaps if the staff had been helpful, said good morning, had a conversation they could have avoided some very misguided assumptions.

I wouldn’t recommend a better place to stay in Harare. It’s a unique place, a unique experience and 100% relaxing after a hard day’s work. The minute you enter you feel like you travelled back in time. Like you are not in the city but outside in the bush. Everybody was with a smile, helpful to assist us. The rooms were spacious, decorated with care, the bathrooms big, breakfast is tailor made according to your needs. There is free parking space, a small pool, a nice lounge both indoors and outdoors as well if you would like to enjoy a drink or coffee. Obviously not cheap but it compensates you for what it offers. Also owned by a Greek guy so that counts for something extra

Fabulous lodge, stunning, spacious rooms, well decorated. Great aircon and ok wifi. Good size bathroom with separate bath and shower. The staff are very attentive, and quickly recognise you. Pool , gym and tennis court on the property. The breakfast was good. The only downside was the sound proofing of the bedroom, on both nights I could hear people in the room next door

Excellent property and very convenient. Front Property is clean, relaxing and quiet. I had a great experience; staff was incredibly helpful from Front desk to Housekeeping to Waiters and Cooks. Everyone is extremely efficient, pleasant and always cheerful. he room was wonderful, clean, very spacious and the decor is superb. Food is also exceptional. All requests were done. Well done to Highlands house.
