Hampton Halfway Hotel Motel

Decent at best, needs renovation, at least the rooms above the pub. Newer rooms are tiny

We were staying in the area and decided we'd try it out for dinner. It's a public holiday and we knew it would have been busy so we called an hour before asking how things were and if we should reserve a space for dinner. We were simply told no, come on down it will be fine. We arrived and they were right, only one other couple eating in. We got menus and sat for around 5-10 minutes before the staff member came to clean the other table. She then let us know as it's been a super busy day they were out of around 4 meals and she listed each one (snittys, burgers, snags and steaks) all out. We understood and began to look at the menu for other options. We then asked about 3 seperate items, 3 seperate times, only to be told 'oh we don't have that either' on each occasion. as it turns out, they were out the entire menu with only hot chips not impacted. As other food options are 45 minutes away, the phone call prior would have been a great opportunity to let us know or even within 15 minutes of us being there. We went with the chips...of which has zero salt, when asked for salt we were handed icing sugar.

The property is a great place to rest and relax on a road trip around the blue mountains. Very friendly staff too.

Adequate for an overnight stay. Despite our arrive just before 4.00pm our room was not ready. It had mostly been serviced but the bathroom had not been completely cleaned. It was nearly a half hour later before we were able to get into our room. The people were kind but it was not what we expected for the price we were paying. The restaurant provided good quality pub/club food which we enjoyed. Despite being on the highway, it was quiet. Eventhough it is obvious that renovations had been done, a few exterior tiles had fallen off the walls and a couple of exterior electrical conduits were exposed. The view from the balcony was wonderful both at sunrise and toward sunset. The room was quite small but nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable.

Liked the property location with its nice outlook. Didn’t like how bad the mattress was across all 4 rooms we had booked and mosquitoes .
