This one has seen better days. A lot of maintenance issues that had gone unreported for a long time. Shower/bathtub would not drain at all. Washbasin was very slow. AC filter was in need of a good cleaning. A side door is supposed to be locked from the inside but stayed open and unsecured all night. This was just as expensive as a really well maintained Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Freeport. Your dog is welcome but it will cost you a 15$ fee. The breakfast was good and had options for a take out box. Location seemed very odd, and seems far from Bangor proper.

I was tempted to give it 4 stars, but it is closer to 3. I get it - the theme is the White House. But it doesn't have to be the White House from 30-40 years ago. The carpet at the entrance must go. I would also get rid of all the White House artifacts, even though the theme may be lost (nobody will miss it). I would prefer a regular hotel theme rather than the suffocating lobby ambiance. Luckily, the rooms are more reasonable, even though a bit dated. The breakfast was decent, but not great.

We had a two one night stays here on our way to Canada and back. Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. On site gym is very clean with a variety of fitness machines that look brand new. Breakfast included every morning at was OK, but could have been better. There were many breakfast restaurants in the area and we ate out for our second day there. Would stay there again if we were in the area.

We checked in after a long day of traveling at 10pm. We got a 2 queen room. We were assigned a room on the third floor. We were assigned to a room like we were in the attic. No windows to look out. Some type of skylight window. The ceiling came down on an angle over the bed closest to the wall. Thank goodness I’m not tall. The temperature was 86 degrees in the room. We turned on the ac and it took two hours to get down to 80 degrees. Luckily I carry a small fan with me at all times. We placed it in front of the ac to help expedite the situation. If you look at their website, they don’t show you the room for just 2 queen beds. They will show you the 2 queen suite. They show you the fridge and microwave. There is a reason for that! The hallways were extremely hot also. I felt bad for the cleaning staff. The lobby was cool at 71 degrees for the workers. I addressed the issue with the front personnel and the best answer I got was hot air rises. I have been to a number of hotels in my 50+ years. This definitely ranks up there as the worst experience. I’m genuinely not demanding, but I do expect to be able to sleep in a cool room in a reasonable amount of time. The other rooms on the site look nice. Make sure you get one of those.

Stopped by this hotel on the way to Bar Harbor. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and friendly. Was hungry so I ordered pizza at room and it surpassed expectations as it was hot and fresh and it was super edible. Rooms were also clean. Also really like the theming it felt like we were living in the White House. Definitely will return here if I ever spend another night in Bangor.

Excellent breakfast selection. Comfortable room. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, was able to ask for dinner recommendations and the place that was recommended was very good.

The White House was right off the highway and very convenient. It was very clean and comfortable. The clerk at the desk when we checked in could not have been any more helpful. He was very polite and personable and explained everything about the hotel.

This hotel is one of my regulars in traveling to and from Canada. The location is right off the highway. There is plenty of parking. The rooms are very nice and beds are really comfortable. The breakfast bar is really good with a wide variety of choices. There is Roadrunner Raspberry ice cream, and many other flavors, in the fridge next to the front desk. Support personnel are always amazing. I will continue to frequent this location for many years to come.

Nice size hotel room with comfy bed fridge and microwave. Nice linens and clean. Friendly staff. There is a common area where you can go and play checkers or a game. Buffet breakfast in the morning with lots of choice. I always choose this hotel when I am in the Bangor area.
