The hotel is fair, but the service is terrible and the manager refuses to talk with anyone that has a problem. I'm a Diamond member of HHONORS and made an error on my reservation, admittedly my fault but the hotel staff won't call you back and will not let you talk to the manager. When leaving a message for the manager they never return your call. My recommendation is to stay at the Hampton in Munster, better restaurants near by and staff is wonderful never missing a beat.

The worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed in. Hamptons are typically solid but this was a joke. Bugs, tiny pillows, broken shelves, bathroom sink faucet only had a trickle of water. I overheard the breakfast staff talking about some kind of critter that had gotten in to the kitchen. The carpet was filthy and I can’t remember the last time I went to a hotel that didn’t have TV streaming service. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was here on business with colleagues, who I didn’t want to disrupt their plans, I would have moved to a different hotel.

Usually the Hampton Inns I have stayed in, in the past have been very decent. But this location in Hammond has been consistently 'inconsistent' ! Have been checked into a room which was not cleaned & at other time got a room which was deadlocked from inside & could not get access. There was a time when they ran out of coffee for a whole day! Breakfast is a hit & miss as they run out of basic items like bread, fruits & milk. I requested to speak to the general manager on property twice but no one there. Left my number for them to call me back but no response! Hilton Honors were at least sensitive & took my complaint. Unfortunately not many options in that area & they do not give the same points for a stay in Home2suites as compared to Hampton Inn. I guess it is a cost we have to pay.....hope the property is sensitive to this.

Stayed at 3 Hamton Inns on a driving trip to Florida. This one did not live up to Hilton expecttaions. Starting with I never was offered my bottled water as a silver member. Then it got worse. We were notified last minute the pool was not in service. The water in the shower was at best tepid. Not hot. Wash cloths were see through. The breakfast with the exception of the oatmeal was terrible. Scrambled eggs with the texture of mashed potatos with no taste. Turkey sausage was like a brick. Out of orange juice, Didn't make a waffle so they might have been OK. Exhaust fan in shower didn't work. I expect more from Hilton. We stayed at 2 more Hamptons on the way and they were fine.

Room did not appear to be cleaned very well. There were black spots all over the bed sheet and don’t want to even speculate what those were. Almost look like the bedsheet wasn’t even changed. It was so wrinkled. Chair had stains all over it. It was gross. Used to be a nice hotel years ago, but clearly that time has passed.

Dirty and empty conditioner bottle. Dead fly on window sill. Filthy dirty behind tv Mask has been there for years. Broken a/c Will not return to this hotel anytime soon. Very unfortunate. Sad to see few bad apples tarnishing the Hilton brand.
