Grotto Bay Beach Resort

Grotto Bay had lovely grounds. The cave swim was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was surprised to see only one small hot tub for the whole resort. They are adding on more buildings. They have a new Panorama lounge that is open in late afternoon and has tapas menu and entertainment two nights a week.

We had a great experience here at Grotto Bay this month visiting with family. The staff beyond helpful and accommodating . The location is close to the airport, Swizzle Inn, the ice cream parlor, and the bus is right outside if you want to venture off property. We did the all inclusive plan which we thought was helpful with children, but you don’t need to choose that option if you prefer not to. The hotel has everything you need for a great vacation. Beach was amazing, my kids loved snorkeling, and laying on floats, as well as the water slides. The pool was also great. We can’t say enough good things about the pool bar and restaurant staff. They were always amazing and efficient with our drinks and food everyday. It’s easy to make reservations for any of the restaurants. I can’t remember her name but the lady in charge is great! She greets you everyday for breakfast and dinner and can help make reservations. Our kids also loved feeding the fish everyday and jumping in and the cave which is right on property. We had an amazing summer vacation here and would recommend it to anyone going to Bermuda! I hope to be back someday soon! Thank you Grotto Bay for great memories!

From start to finish this trip checked all of the boxes. The hotel is charming, clean, with the friendliest staff! The beach is perfect for peaceful mornings and lovely afternoons. The food at each restaurant was delectable and that’s coming from a chefs wife. Last but not least, the spa with massage rooms on floating docks in a cave were out of this world. The ambiance was unique and the massage by Mika and Newman were the best ever had!! 10/10 loved this place!

We stayed 7 days at Grotto Bay Resort. It was lovely. The resort has many options for all visitors. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small, but fine. They will bring your luggage to your room, for you from the front desk, because the resort is very big and hilly. Bring your walking shoes, there are many steps and steep walkways. The main building houses the restaurants for breakfast and dinner. You are supposed to make a reservation for dinners! ( I did not know that!) Also, make a reservation for the 2 beach barbecues!!). For lunch, the open area /bar is good. Many salads and sandwiches and drinks! We purchased the all-inclusive, mainly for the extras! The ALL-inclusive comes with all meals, drinks from 11 am to 11 pm and bus/ferry passes, plus use of the Dive shop non-motorized swim toys, kayaks, and paddleboards, and snorkel gear. We did Kayak and snorkel, it was great! The food for breakfast is a buffet and the dinner options were good, if you are not picky or gluten-free or have many dietary restrictions. Service was amazing, everyone was pleasant and attentive, we also talked to everyone! Tips: It is a family friendly place and we were a couple there for our anniversary. Tip: Book any Spa treatments in advance, they book up quickly. The caves on property are great! The cave with the cool dip, was awesome, too. The spa in the cave was amazing, I had a massage and it was so relaxing. The resort has a bus stop out front, and there are taxis available most of the time, if you want to pay. ( Cash mostly). We did leave to do to dinner and took the bus, it travels the whole island. The buses are great, they are clean and air-conditioned. We looked at many resorts, and for the price, it was a great option.

My husband and I recently returned from a 7-night stay at Grotto Bay. If you are looking for a resort that has beautiful, well-maintained grounds, delicious food and drinks with all-inclusive options, amazing attentive staff, easy access to public transportation, and close proximity to the airport, Grotto Bay has it all! Here are just a few takeaways from our trip: Prior to arrival we requested a room as close to the main building as possible due to some unforeseen mobility issues. I knew that this was based on availability, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. When we checked in, we were happy to find that our request was honored, and we were in the building right beside the main lobby. Our room (520) was located on the 2nd floor however we didn't need to worry about any steps because the entrance was at ground level. It was an absolutely ideal location! The view from our balcony was wonderful and we enjoyed watching the roosters and chickens chase each other in the morning, seeing everyone hike up and down the stairs during the day, and listening to the tree frogs at night. While the accommodations showed signs of wear, the beds were comfortable and showers were hot, albeit with limited pressure. Storage space was minimal, necessitating creative arrangements for our luggage. The bathroom was small, and the partial shower enclosure didn't do much to prevent water from getting everywhere. The walls are very thin so if you have a noisy neighbor, I'd highly recommend ear plugs. Since there is always room for improvement, I'd suggest that Grotto Bay install a ceiling fan for better air circulation. Additionally, there is a very bright corridor light outside the front door. Even though there is a mini blind, it doesn't really block any light from coming in. If you need a very dark room to sleep, bring an eye mask. It would help if there was a blackout curtain or shade for the room door. Once again, we were able to find a creative solution to block the light, but it was not ideal. We chose the all-inclusive package so that we wouldn't need to worry about meal and beverage cost during our stay. It was definitely the best choice for us and worth every penny. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, and the made-to-order omelets were delicious. The Bayside Grill had a good variety of options on the lunch menu, and I didn't tire of anything. In fact, the Bay Sandwich and Chicken Teriyaki Poke Bowl were excellent, and I ordered them on more than one occasion. Drinks were delicious and the perfect strength. Water bottles were available if you asked but I would highly recommend bringing your own refillable bottle and filling up right by the pool or even in your room (tap water is potable). There were two dinner buffets during our stay, and both had so many options to choose from, there is something for everyone.
