This is a new and extremely spacious villa with four bedrooms, each larger than some apartments in Europe. The high roof gives an even greater feeling of space. The central living and dining area has plenty of space for a party of eight to do their own things and sit quietly or in groups. The location is very quiet - there is no traffic, and very few people. On the beach if you walk a few hundred metres, there are fisherman, but that's all. The sea (at least in December) is too rough for swimming, but you can walk for a long way along the beach. The town is a short 3-wheeler or car ride away, and various attractions are within reach - but it's a great place to chill out for a few days. The villa has staff, who will either provide meals from a menu, or cook what you buy; or indeed, buy and cook to specification. We mostly ate Sri Lankan, and the food was always tasty. The standard menus are a little meat/fish heavy; one day, we asked the staff to prepare a vegetarian lunch with whatever they could get from the market, and it was one of the best meals of the stay. They also prepared from the locally caught fish. The staff, in particular the manager, were all very helpful.
