I had a really lovely stay at The Dorrington. The family room was simple, but we all slept well. The service was excellent—I was able to arrange a room at the last minute and felt completely at ease and relaxed. The television signal wasn’t the best, but aside from that, the area was lovely and the room was delightful. We would definitely return.

It’s been running for years, lovely building but never really managed to have a soul to it. Inside, clean and spacious, good beer selection and Kingfisher on draft which is quite unique and very nice. There is a cafe part of the building, food looks nice and as I say, nice and clean. There is a nightclub attached but no sure how busy that part is if still open to be honest in the current climate. Accommodation is good, clean and reasonable with parking. We have put friends in here and they said it was ok, breakfast also ok and no complaints. Is it a destination, maybe not, but is it good for a pint or a snack, or to stay over when in the area - yes

Great little stay! We had booked a hotel room for two adults two children at the Dorrington. When we arrived we were told we had been upgraded and we had a two bedroom cottage for the same price! This was two minutes down the road and a lovely clean two bedroomed house! We were so pleased with it and would have loved to stay longer!

Wouldn’t go back It was not ideal having to take all the kids into a bar to get booked in. The room itself was filthy, no table lamps and a green light was on in the room the whole night. It smelt like sewage in the bathroom and the heating didn’t work. No beds were made up for 2 of the guests and the pull out beds were broken. The light shades were broken it wasn’t great. The floors was sticky with stained carpet.

Arrived at bar and staff were very helpful and polite. Room was very tied and in need of some deep cleaning and a coat of paint especially the radiator which was very rusted all across the front. Cannot work out where they had taken the pictures of the hotel rooms and Areas??. On also to stay if you like a bit of a bar atmosphere and noise from the elephants moving around at 02:20 in the morning above our room 3 for nearly an hour. Overall price was comparable for condition of the room.

I booked a party in the Trinity Suite function room for my special birthday. The room is a lovely size. The staff were amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate and to make my special birthday a huge success. The DJ was great too. The price was very reasonable. One small criticism they could do with somewhere to hang coats but highly recommend this venue. Well done to the staff 👏

Stayed here for one night with family, and have to say it was a comfy night, the hotel is in the town and close to everything. Tom was very polite and welcoming and even showed us to our room, which is something that I've never experienced before. It is very reasonably priced The rooms were ok, they were clean and comfy beds but the room could do with a bit of a refresh. Other than that I had no issues at all. I would stay again 😊
