The P1 car park is 0.6 mi away, and a shuttle service to the hotel is available. Free shuttle service is available only for check-in and check-out but not for transport during stay.

Avoid this hotel unless you’re certain your stay will be entirely trouble-free. During our two-day visit to Hallstatt, we didn’t encounter a single staff member, only fellow guests. Attempts to contact the hotel via the phone number posted in the lobby and through email went unanswered. This lack of communication left us feeling unsupported and isolated. It seems the hotel is cutting costs by not having staff on-site or accessible via phone, which is a significant red flag. If any issues arise during your stay, don’t expect assistance. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Heritage Hotel down the street. Additionally, the room’s cleanliness was subpar. We noticed mold in the bathroom, particularly on the showerhead nozzles, and spider webs on furniture surfaces. For me, visible mold on the showerhead is a dealbreaker, it indicates a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.

We had lunch with our family and friends here. The food was terrible and very expensive. It was the worse experience of our entire 20 day trip in Austria. After the “lunch”, we had to go to another restaurant to eat, because we couldn’t continue eating there. No surprise that the restaurant was empty. They just want your money.

A lovely hotel on the market square with a delicious restaurant. Our room was clean and cosy with a long balcony with stunning views over the lake. Friendly check-in and staff were helpful. Very much enjoyed the balcony and watching Hallstatt life! Enjoyed the hotel restaurant for lunch, which was traditional Austrian fare and plenty of fish. Thoroughly enjoyable and great service.

We just stayed at Seewirt Zauner on Friday night and it was amazing! Check-in and check-out is contact-less so super quick and easy. The room was clean, new and big! The bathroom looked brand new. The location was perfect right in town and the view from our balcony was out of this world! We had two doors leading out to a balcony that overlooked the church and Marktplatz with a table and chairs to enjoy the view. We were treated to snow during our evening and it was magical. Would def recommend!

We spent three nights here in Early October. Nice classic Alpine hotel. The room was sizable and comfortable. The room also had a terrace with a wonderful view of the lake. The only concern and what keeps this from being a 5 star rating was a fair amount of black mold in the lower areas of the shower basin. We booked the breakfast service, which was provided at a different hotel a few steps away and was very good.

Nice hotel in an excellent location at the top of the Market square. Hallstatt is an expensive place to stay, and by Hallstatt standards the hotel was fair value. Our room 31 on the 3rd floor was clean and very pleasant with a balcony overlooking the the square and a view of the lake. The bathroom was modern (our only negative - needed a little redecoration). The hotel restaurant was excellent: a beautiful panelled room with a small balcony (book ahead). There was a wide choice of delicious-sounding dishes, which ranged beyond the Austrian standards, and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast was not available in the hotel at the time we stayed, needed to be booked ahead and was taken in a neighbouring hotel a very short step away. Staff were absolutely lovely and could not have been more cheerful or helpful.

Wir haben dieses Hotel wegen der Namensgleichheit gewählt! Es lohnte sich die stressige Anreise total! Empfang war durch Frau Sandra äußerst herzhaft. Das Personal rundum freundlich und aufmerksam! Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders die Fische aus dem Hallstättersee! Unser verlängertes Wochenende verging viel zu schnell. Es war alles ein Himmlischer Aufenthalt in einem himmlischen Ort!
