Found some trash on the ground by the trash can ( Qtip) for the most part I liked my stay all staff I had dealings with were very good and nice!

This hotel is awful!! Not very clean and there is a smell of cigarette and **** in the hallway. But the worst part was, the morning we were checking out… my husband found a hole in one of our recyclable grocery bag…and shortly after a mouse ran across the room under the beds!!!!! We then found droppings on the bench where we had our bags and clothes!!! Sooooo disgusting!!! The front desk didn't look too much alarmed or concerned about it! Seemed a bit annoyed actually of my complaint. We later found out that day that another family from our group had the same problem!!! We also found other reviews about mice!!! So its been going on for a while!!

We booked this hotel months ago as part of a group attending a hockey tournament — 10 families, all with confirmed group rate reservations. Our payment was processed earlier this week. Due to some unexpected changes and uncertainty around the tournament, several families (including us) reached out to the hotel simply to inquire about the cancellation policy. We were clearly told we were outside the timeframe for cancellation under the group rate — and that no cancellations were allowed. All of us were denied cancellation. So, we made plans, reorganized the teams, and decided to attend the tournament as scheduled. After a 3-hour drive from Dieppe, NB — and after playing games all day — we arrived at the hotel only to be told our reservation had been cancelled. The front desk supervisor said there was a note on the reservation stating it was cancelled "at the guest’s request." This is completely false. We never canceled. No cancellation confirmation was ever sent, no refund issued (to date) and no one on our side initiated a cancellation. "We have called and inquire about the cancelation policy". Despite explaining this multiple times, the hotel staff refused to listen and visibly irritated. They repeated “there’s a note on file,”  "theres nothing  i can do" "the rate for the room tonight is 500 something" and that was that. They offered us one remaining room — for over $500 a night (my credit card now reflects a $700+ charge). Feeling cornered and with no other option for our family, my husband checked in while I was outside calling head office : this can be real - thinking they must be able to figure this out . Head Office essentially told us the hotel is allowed to make its own decisions, and that even if our story is true, there was nothing they could do. They also casually mentioned that the hotel had “overridden the cancellation policy” to allow the room to be canceled — something that makes no sense, since the same policy was strictly upheld for all other families. Why was our room the only one mysteriously canceled? The worst part was how we were treated — dismissively, even smugly. When we returned to the desk a moment later trying to get clarity, and mutual understanding of the situation- the same employee smirked and said, “You signed the check-in — you knew the price.” Yes, we signed — because we had exhausted every other option, had kids with us, and no place to go and this makes no sense so it can't be just it ? This entire experience was not only disappointing but also eye-opening. As customers, we were completely vulnerable to a mistake — or a lie — in a system we had no control over. One inaccurate "note on file" erased our reservation and left us stranded. There was no effort to help, no accountability, and zero empathy. We will never stay here again. We would not recommend this hotel even as a last resort.
