Very satisfied with the service. I have stayed in some hotels in Canada, including several five-star Fairmonts, and in comparison, the service in this hotel is indeed very comfortable. The location of this hotel is also very good. It takes seven or eight minutes downhill to the beach, five minutes uphill to Castle Hill, and less than ten minutes to the Public Garden. Breakfast is weak and lacks variety. Next time I come to Hafa, I might consider choosing this hotel again.

Pretty good hotel but the pool area desperately needs to be cleaned and have an air exchange system installed. The rings of scum around both the pool and hottub are disgusting. Kids( I"m assuming) had written in it! I don't understand why it isn't scrubbed at night. Very off-putting. It was also so hot and humid in the pool area it was uncomfortable just being in the room and the warm pool water.

We stayed for two days at the start of a road trip around d Nova Scotia. Check in was really friendly and helpful (Kyle) with a free upgrade to a suite. The hotel is in a great location, and parking in their underground car park was easy. Breakfast was lovely and the staff again were excellent, giving us advice for places to visit in Halifax and beyond. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing staff and great stay at the PG. it is very centrally located and you are walking distance to lots of attractions. Concierge was especially helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet has great options and amazing bacon! Rooms were comfortable and well appointed, thank you for the fridge. So often in operation scale hotels they take it out. Shower was amazing, great pressure and lots of hot water. Items that could use improvement in my opinion Pool area needs updating Hallways (carpets etc) are really sharing their age Our HVAC was loud, however this may have been just our room? If you get crown service the guest room with goodies etc was a bit disappointing. It’s just coffee a few cold drinks, chips peanuts etc. Coming from Fairmont Gold we were a bit shocked by that. The crown service did include the free buffet breakfast for each day but overall we felt the added cost vs value offered was low.

The California King size bed was spectacular. The mattress was perfect, and the linens were lovely white cotton. I had one of the best night’s sleep of my life. The temperature control was easy to use and responsive. The hotel was well located if you don’t mind walking uphill on the way back from the harbor. I will put it on my list as a place to recommend. It was very clean and well-appointed.

Clean, had everything you need, perfect service, great restaurant. Located halfway up a hill below an historic fortification and above the harbor. Between hotel and waterfront was dotted with great pubs and fish restaurants. McKelvie’s highly recommended. Halifax waterfront filled with shops, art, museums, boats, food, music and activities.
