Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. Room services only happens every 4th day or so, if you're concerned about daily service (I'm not). Plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Glad to see the bottle filler downstairs. Parking was a bit confusing, but that probably is normal with downtown locations. Only real criticism is that the water wasn't always hot. One day it was fine, the next day it barely reached lukewarm.

I stayed for three nights and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The hotel is right in the centre of everything—restaurants, shops, and even the port are all just a short walk away, which made getting around super easy. The place itself has this lovely, old-school charm. My room was really quiet and the bed was higher than I’m used to, but surprisingly comfortable, I slept like a log every night. The bathroom was huge, which I definitely appreciated.

Rooms are clean a little outdated. There is a fridge in the room, coffee machine, iron and ironing board. There was a charging port with 2 usbs for phones. Only down side is the parking, it's a little bit of a walk. You don't have to go outside to get to hotel from parking lot, which is a bonus. You can use the Skywalker to get to the ****** and Scotia Mall.

The location is very good, right in the city center. The overall decoration of the hotel is old, and there is a little smell in the room because the window cannot be opened. We walked from the train to the Barrington. In the am we walked back along the boardwalk to the bus station. It was a great way to experience a bit of Halifax in a short time
