A great hotel with a great location. I got the lowest price through Ctrip this time. I can’t believe that more than 400 RMB can stay in this hotel.

I booked 5 nights, and 4 rooms (1 room for 2 nights, 3 rooms 1 night each)., WAY in advance. Family wedding. The rooms were as promised, harbour views. The rooms were clean. My room had no soap, or bathroom amenities though. But shampoo etc in shower. good beds, weird pillows. We did ask for rooms early, as wedding was at 4pm, and we did get in at noon, thank you for that. Appreciated. We did go down to Marriott at 10AM to ask ... and waited. Convenience to Historic Properties was the reason we booked here.

This is an over-priced hotel, although it's well located. The rate was double what we thought it should have been. The windows were filthy and obscured a decent view of the harbour. The bathroom wasn't great. The drain stop in the sink didn't work well, and there was mildew in the shower tile grout. In addition, the light in the closet wasn't working well; it was flickering, and that should have been easily fixed. Parking isn't cheap either. We would think twice about staying here again.

We spent 3 nights at the Marriott Halifax Waterfront on our vacation through the Canadian Maritimes. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and offered consistently great service. It was pricey, however (~$430/night) so that was certainly my expectation. An unexpected surprise was their excellent concierge lounge for Marriott Bonvoy status-this is the first one I’ve experienced that offered table service and a menu-the food was excellent and much better than what’s typically on offer buffet-style at US Marriotts. Parking in the attached parking garage was also convenient and easy to deal with.
