Oakcliff Bed and Breakfast

What an amazing find. The house is beautiful and the room was clean and super comfortable. Breakfast was a delicious treat and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend visiting.

The hosts were wonderful, giving us excellent advice on places to see in the area. The accommodations were lovely and breakfast was amazing! The house has been painstakingly restored to its original grandeur of the 1800’s, and each piece of furniture is an original antique. They also have a beautifully eclectic art collection which adds to the character of this gorgeous home, not to mention the best views in the area!

I went to Saratoga over Labor Day Weekend with my wife and my brother and his wife. We stayed at the Oakcliff Bed and Breakfast in Waterford. My wife and had stayed here by chance once before and wanted my brother and his wife to share in this excellent experience. John and Pam have an amazing house with hospitality to match. Visiting the Oakcliff BnB is like going back in time and experiencing a wonderful dream over again. US Presidents have stayed there, (4 to be exact), The ambiance that the hosts and the home provides are worth the trip from anywhere. From the views of the Mohonk River Canal from above, to the hospitality provided by John and Pam, and the old world feeling you get from being here, you just know you are staying in a very special home. John and Pam provide a luxury experience par excellence. We were fortunate to stay there at the same time that a few musicians were traveling through and the late evening improvisation on the piano and trumpet took the experience to a whole different level. (thank you Ed and Eric.) Anyone in the area who has an opportunity to stay here and eat Chef Pam's breakfast is in for a real treat. As for the stay itself, you come out refreshed and ready to meet the day in front of you with a great outlook. Please make sure to have John show you his AGA cast iron stove. Highly recommended!
