Absolutely fantastic steak pie, chips gravy and mushy peas. Good beer selection and lovely staff. Highly recommend a visit

Nice hotel and enjoyed the evening meal at the pub, however we had a very poor breakfast experience. The first morning we had to wait 45 mins for food, and then the toast was burnt. Second morning, we arrived for breakfast at 7:15 (other diners were in too) and were told the chef was running late - further enquiries resulted in us been told he was sleeping upstairs but they had woken him! It’s a real shame as this has put us off returning.

Another great stay here ( we have stayed so many times now) As always, the location is excellent if you are wanting access to Manchester airport. The service is great, all the staff are really friendly and helpful. We had drinks and food in the pub next door and as always it was perfect. Great service, food and drinks. The room was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. My only criticism ( and it’s a fairly small point) - please please get rid of the awful shower curtain in the bathroom (room 3) they are so outdated and it was smelly! Adding reed diffusers in the bathroom does not cover up the smell. Regardless of this small point we will be back to stay again soon as everything else here is spot on!

Excellent food , and friendly informative but not intrusive chat with manager David. Beautiful quiet rooms, with added extras, ear plugs, eyelash, fresh milk bowl of fruit at checkin desk. Highly recommend for families couples and elderly as a number of rooms on ground floor with walk in facilities.

Nicky, David and the team are always welcoming, accommodating and super friendly. We had a large family meal and drinks and everyone enjoyed it the food was fabulous and the service was tips top.. everybody had a fantastic night. Attention to detail and really well organised.. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Lovely pub roast with fresh veggies and loads of delicious roast selections. All the trimmings and relaxed atmosphere. David and team very welcoming. Thank you. Lots of typical northern charm in an olde worlde style pub/hotel. They have a hotel too. Would recommend

The room was really comfortable and quiet. Nice being so close to the airport and check in was simple. Shower was hot, bed comfortable. The only down side was “coffee bags” who ever came up with this, is mad. The coffee bag is crap and please put instant coffee in the room. This was the only negative from our stay.

Excellent location and superb breakfast.
Rooms looking a little tired with some mouldy grout in the shower. Towels need renewing as the ones supplid are looking grey and well used

Excellent hotel
Excellent service from start to finish, from check-in with Deirdre (I believe that was her name, lovely Irish girl), to a very nice and comfortable room, a great dinner in the pub, and a smooth check-out.
