Arrival was good and room was good. However it went down hill from there. Woke up the next morning to a cold shower (7am), went to get breakfast that we had be asked to pre book at time for. Arrived at our agreed time only to be told there was a 30 minute wait for food. Had a business meeting so couldn’t wait. Was told it wasn’t there problem and couldn’t do anything. . Left disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic steak pie, chips gravy and mushy peas. Good beer selection and lovely staff. Highly recommend a visit

Nice hotel and enjoyed the evening meal at the pub, however we had a very poor breakfast experience. The first morning we had to wait 45 mins for food, and then the toast was burnt. Second morning, we arrived for breakfast at 7:15 (other diners were in too) and were told the chef was running late - further enquiries resulted in us been told he was sleeping upstairs but they had woken him! It’s a real shame as this has put us off returning.

Lovely location. Very welcoming, pleasant staff. Clean, spacious, comfortable room. No lift but not a problem for us. Would book again.
