Found this place online and we were still a LONG drive from Haines. They took the reservation and also informed us of the border closing time (which we made by 11 min thanks to them!). Todd stayed up to greet us and also extended our reservation by two days when we realized we couldn't get out on the ferry. He was friendly, fun and gave us a list of places to visit around town. The view was beautiful and because of the hospitality, we left feeling like we had stayed with friends. Our Beach Roadhouse stay in Haines, AK was truly one of the highlights of our trip.

A JEM. Was difficult to find because google failed ! The road was a bit rough on a mountain side close to the ocean! Worth the extra effort to get there ! Individual cabins , clean !! Well organized!! And spaced for privacy! We were only there for one night but would have liked to stay longer! Has wifi included . Host greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed.

The hotel was great. Large spacious rooms with comfortable bedding. Also close to both downtown Haines and the Battery Point trail and park. The owners were also incredibly helpful and nice. I had made a booking error and they helped me sort it out with quick responses to phone and email. Very kind and generous. The check-in and check-out process were also well organized and seamless.

Wir sind hier für 4 Nächte in Hütte 1 gewesen. Der Empfang nach 7 Stunden Autofahrt war dermaßen unfreundlich und unpersönlich, dass wir am liebsten wieder gefahren wären. Die Hütte wäre schön, wenn es auch nur im Ansatz irgendetwas Liebevolles, stilvolles gäbe. So ist sie bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Es ist soweit alles vorhanden, es ist einigermaßen sauber, aber kein Wohlfühlort. Heizung ist kaputt, also wird ein Heizstrahler reingestellt. Das Nötigste wird gemacht, aber nichts drüber hinaus. Wir würden nicht mehr wiederkommen.

We stayed in Cabin 3. Two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds and a single bed on the landing. The cabin looked almost new. It had everything we needed, including sharp knives. The setting is in old forest. There are small lawns and a fire pit for relaxing. The area is very quiet. You’d never guess that you were a thousand yards from a cruise ship. Check-in couldn’t be simpler. You just walk in and the key is on the table.

Not as expected. My friend paid for a stand alone cabin so she could have privacy and not disturb others by being an early bird. We were put in a duplex. One bed appeared that someone laid in it watching TV. The coffee pot had flavored leftover coffee in it. NO beach access in walking distance. The door wouldn't shut without a hard pull and slam. I was grateful for the broom. It was quiet and safe. I would not stay again. Hotel would have been half the cost. Photo is what was rented.
