We were lucky to have three sunny days! Kids loved the charming cabin and we loved the fireplace! Fully stocked kitchen and nice shampoo/conditioner. The front desk staff was so nice! Also highly recommend the church bistro and the Cathedral Cove kayak tour.

Such a lovely secluded setting and a super friendly welcome from owners and staff. So clean and comfortable, especially with the log fire going! The breakfast was a perfect add-on and we had a great meal at the on-site bistro.

It is one of our favourite places in the country. Large rooms, great showers, very cosy, and check-in is a breeze. It is a great place to visit in any weather. Roomy and cosy to be in during the rain. Great for hot summer evenings. Simple but stylish.

My partner and I jumped in the car on a Friday afternoon and wanted to escape the city. A quick call to Anna had us booked into a cottage with fireplace. We were arriving after hours so late arrival was arranged. Very easy and straightforward. Lights and heating was on for our arrival and The fireplace was set. A quick strike of a match and a shower later, the woes of Auckland traffic were soon forgotten. We spent the night making use of the smart tv. I have eaten at the church restaurant previously and is conveniently located on the same site, highly recommended. In the morning we took a casual walk down to the local cafe for coffee and breakfast, a walk on the beach and leisurely back to the hotel to check out. Again, Anna was extremely friendly and accommodating. Quick drive round the corner to start the cathedral cove walk and back to the hot water beach before taking the ferry over to Whitianga for a late lunch. Overall, the church comes highly recommended even in the winter months.

This destination is really cool. My room was beautiful and the staff were so friendly. I was able to walk to the Church Bistro for dinner 2 of the nights I was there. Apparently the place was full on Saturday night but I wasn't aware of anyone else. It felt secluded and peaceful. So handy to the bus to go to Cathedral Cove and that path is much better than the old one. I went to Hot Water Beach and had a lovely time meeting people from all over the world. The breakfast on a tray was enough to fill me until the evening meal and so delicious. I will be coming back.
