Super 8 by Wyndham Hagerstown I-70

This is an old place. And everything outisde the room is rough. The carpets are matted, there are some bad smells and the whole place looks like a disaster. That said, inside the rooms were fine, clean, no bugs, no nasties, beds were super comfortable and everything was ok. The TV is tiny. The breakfast etc was not great

We stayed 8 nights at the Super 8 on Dual Hwy. First, we got an extremely good rate per night, which made the stay affordable. This is an older building, but they have made some improvements. Bathroom has nice tiled floor and new sink surround. Floors in bedroom are either tile or faux wood. The bed was really comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful. When we reported 2 items that needed fixing in the bathroom, repairs were done within 15 minutes. Breakfast was standard Super 8, cereal and bread for toasting, juice and coffee. They did have a waffle maker. The HVAC is an older unit and it was noisy. The refrigerator had a real freezer and was fairly quiet. They do put an additional $50 hold on your card when you check in, but if there is no damage or no smoking it's reversed. We did not have any maid service while we were there. That was ok with us, we didn't mind. If that's a consideration for travelers that is something to be aware of. Overall good stay, would probably stay again.

I could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway. Breakfast consisted of toast and coffee. There was cereal, but I didn't want to guess how old it was.

The bed was comfortable, breakfast was regular but my kids loved the waffles, the hotel managers and front desk was very friendly and helpful when needed, there was always parking available, and everything we needed was supplied upon request, the stay was overall comfortable.
