　　山の上にある温泉で、有名な割には、あまり入浴客は多くはありませんが、お風呂が混浴なので、小さなタオルで体の前を隠しますが、後ろは、丸見えになってしまいますが、気にしていては、来たかいがないので、そのまま入浴してしまいました。　　山の頂上で温泉に入れるなんて、とても珍しい事なので、恥ずかしいなんて、とても言えないので、良い経験になりました。　　女性専用の浴室もありますが、せっかくなので、混浴にチャレンジしてしまいました。

山小屋のような宿で、かなり古いのか廊下など斜めになっているところがあったりしますが、それも味になっていて私は好きです。 行った日は雨、風が強く、霧も出ていて八幡平散策は諦めたのですが、宿の前の道路沿いで色々な花が咲いているのが見れたので良しとしました。 露天風呂には女性専用の時間に入りました。 全部の露天風呂に入りたかったのですが、霧でよく見えず少し離れた女性専用露天風呂には迷って行けませんでした(苦笑) 初めての人は入る前に場所を確認しておきましょう。 底に泥がたまっている温泉は初めてで面白かったです。 食事は素朴ですが、焼き魚も天ぷらも作りたてですし、色々な山菜もあって美味しくいただきました。
