KK Beach

We had a wonderfully relaxing 2 night stay here at the KK Beach hotel at the end of a 2 week trip around Sri Lanka. The hotel is a haven of tranquility and the staff went above & beyond to provide the perfect balance of discreet & friendly service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the KK Beach to anyone looking for an R&R hotel on the south coast of Sri Lanka near Galle.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel directly on a stunning beach within easy reach of Galle. It is a lovely long beach to walk up but I don't think it is one to swim from unless you are a strong swimmer as it was quite rough. We stayed two nights but would have liked to stay longer. The rooms are bright and marine themed. There are no TVs in the room but we didn't even notice that until the second evening. The pool is stunning and the service and food excellent.

This was a relaxing final few nights to our trip to Sri Lanka and it didn't disappoint. Despite being situated on a busy road all we could hear was the crashing of the waves on the beach. The reception area and restaurant are open sided so you are both in and outdoors. We were allocated a suite with a balcony and it was very spacious. All rooms overlook the pool and beach. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The guy who looked after the pool area was very attentive, bringing us extra towels to support our necks whilst on the sunbeds and fresh water. The food was all freshly prepared and the portions were generous. There is a gate out onto the fantastic beach. We had an early start for a flight home and we were provided with a substantial pack-up breakfast. The location is good for a visit to the town of Galle Fort, steeped in history. We also visited a turtle sanctuary where they look after injured turtles as well as hatching and releasing babies. The visit cost 2,000 LKR pp. We also took a boat safari on nearby Koggala Lake and visited cinnamon island.

Beautiful hotel, pool and location, the views looking out to sea is perfect. The pool is huge, surrounded by beautiful plants, and was always so peaceful (and Kasan is very attentive and friendly, ensuring you're never out of drinks or fresh towels). It's about 30 mins from Galleria, but easy to get to. If the food had been a little more flavoursome, it would be a 5 star, however we thought it sometimes lacked a bit of flavour.

This hotel 20 minutes south of Galle, KK Beach is a small, boutique property located on the beachfront. The rooms are thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished, each with a private terrace and ensuite bathroom. They all have complimentary WiFi and luxurious touches such as robes, slippers, a mini-bar and Bose sound system. The pool and sunlounger area, beautiful and relaxing. Super helpful and friendly staff. Food from the restaurant very good. It’s a great spot to explore the south coast and Galle. It has direct access to a beautiful quiet beach. Would recommend.

What an absolutely lovely hotel. Its location is lovely and quiet as it’s a little outside any of the main beach resort towns. The hotel is right on the beach front so from the immaculately layed out pool area you can sea and hear the sea. The pool area is so nice with very comfortable and plentiful sunbeds and bean bags and the pool area attendant works tirelessly in making sure you are in a nice location and you are drinking plenty of cold water. The beach is stunning with beautiful sand and a huge expanse of beach to walk up and down. The sea current can be very strong so do ask the pool attendant where it’s best to swim. The rooms are really nice and well presented all with beachfront views with very comfortable beds. All the staff are so attentive and helpful they couldn’t do enough for you. The food at the hotel is simply superb. The breakfasts are excellent. The Sri Lankan omelette, egg hoppers and labneh, avo and egg all superb. There’s also a wide variety of lunch and dinner menu options from both Sri Lankan and western pallets. The tuna main and the tamarind prawns were both knockout. There’s lots of places to sit and chill out at the hotel post dinner. A wonderful hotel and I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you KK Beach for a wonderful stay🙏🏻.
