The hotel is awesome. We booked late yesterday. Our room was booked today and we were supposed to check out at 11. Later the hotel asked us to check out at 10, but they changed the room and let us check out at 5. The sand villa was upgraded to a water villa! They also gave us an eco-friendly bag and a kettle and a free mini bar.

We used Pacific For Less to book stays at Le Taha’a and Le Bora Bora Hotels. I highly recommend doing both and using this travel agency for the best pricing and help in coordinating everything! The travel team seamlessly organized the flights to spend more time on the islands and less time in the airports. We have been to Bora Bora many times, but this was our first trip to Taha’a. Le Taha’a is more spread out and quiet. I would call it more romantic and unspoiled. Le Bora Bora has that great view of the mountain, however. We took more excursions in Bora but the fish population is great around the Taha’a resort without having to take a tour. The rooms are huge and we especially like the ones with a little pool. Eat at the pool restaurant for some variety. The management team is so kind and helpful at this resort. You feel the love of the island from Jackson and Laurent! See you all on the next trip!

Gorgeous small resort. Less than 60 suites. The boat journey & welcome party are memorable. We occupied villa 51 with its almost private beach. Very spacious with an equally spacious bathroom. Courtyard with a plunge pool. Who needs a pool when you are feet away from turquoise water? Filling water bottles provided for you to fill up @ various water stations. Brilliant idea. But don’t go & pay 6 € for a bottle at the table! Bring your water bottle with you. Food expensive but on an island resort one doesn’t expect cheap. A green salad in a tiny cereal bowl will cost you 6 €. The food generally is really top. We did give the gourmet restaurant a miss as it was going to cost 150 € + wine. Too many families around. We had to complain as the kids next door were screaming in their paddling pool. We were offered a very generous upgrade but in the end the noise quieted & we could stay & carry on enjoying our lovely beach. If you are not bothered about a beach go for an over water villa as there are less families. The coral garden is amazing. Don’t forget reef shoes ( fins not allowed)

Le Taha'a is a lovely quiet resort accessible by boat. We went for our 1st annivesary and my sister's 40th anniversary. They gave us each a bottle of champagne in our over water bungalow, and decorated the bed with flowers in the shape of the year of our anniversary. The manager greets you when you arrive and is also the last person to see you when you leave which is a very nice touch. Our travel agent, Keiley with Venture Tahiti really helped us by explaining that the over the water bungalows were cheaper in Taha'a compared to Bora Bora, and that you can see Bora Bora from the Taha'a resort so it was the same water. The great things about this resort....you can easily walk to the coral gardens from the pool area, the staff were so lovely and kind and sweet, I loved that it was remote and quiet and low key, I contacted the concierge before our trip about an anniversary dinner and I ordered a vanilla cake...and it was so perfect. Everything went so smoothly for the entire stay. We booked the sunset bungalows, which had an unobstructed view of the water which was so beautiful, unfortunately it rained so much we never really saw a pretty sunset.

This was our third time at the resort. We have stayed at many other similar resorts but none equals the quality of the Pearl. We were treated like royalty. The service and amenities where excellent. The Coral Gardens are a natural wonder offering an unique experience not to be missed.

Le Taha’a is a beautiful resort overall. We booked this trip through Costco Travel, and thankfully it was a good decision that we did that. They pick you up in the airport and take you by boat to the resort which is lovely. The greeting is beautiful, and I love the little ways that they welcome you and say goodbye, those little touches were absolutely lovely and meant a lot. The fact that they give you a beach bag and water bottles is really nice, and getting our mini bar refilled daily and complimentary for the honeymoon was a nice touch. We went for our honeymoon, and they were very sweet about trying to do little things in the room for us, doing little floral decorations, trying to find an allergen free treat for myself, things like that. The bungalow was beautiful and really nice, the way the doors opened into your private deck was nice and private, but the water to go into off of the bungalow could have a very strong tide at times and was very shallow. Otherwise, it was a lovely room to be in overall, and it was good to be close to a machine where we could get water at any time. The staff itself was a mixed bag to deal with truthfully. The cleaning staff managed to lose my prescription glasses while cleaning and several times had gone through our bags without permission while cleaning or doing turndown, which left a sour taste in our mouth and was frustrating as if I had not had contact lenses I would not have been able to see throughout the trip. If I could give a four and a half star review that would be most of what I took off for. They struggled in being understanding and accommodating regarding my allergies, though I gave the property months advance notice and sent them all lists and documentation, it was disheartening that they basically just offered me items off of a kid's menu and didn't do anything to try to help, and even though we purchased a meal package going in, the one time they "tried" to do something they charged us for it. (for the record, it was a side of french fries that they charged us for since I could not have any of the starters at the hotel, which we felt was a bit ridiculous) This leads to the fact that there really is only the one restaurant on site and it is fine but nothing special, particularly in the fact that there really is not much variety. Their Polynesian night and buffet is by far the best and that was better then any other night by far in terms of food as well as the entertainment, it is lovely all around.

It's so surprise that Le Tah'a Resort is Relais & Châteaux collection. And that it ranks as a 5* property. From the moment we got on board the resort's boat shuttle at the Raiatea airport to getting on the pontoon at Le Taha'a, my wife and felt more like family than guests. For four wonderful nights we stayed in a premium beach villa, which we highly recommend to anyone. FYI, the ice cream shop is addicting. By dinner time on a our first day there, we were amazed that the staff greeted us by name, and that carried on during our entire stay. The grounds of the resort are breathtaking and beautifully landscaped. The service, food, and accommodations were way beyond our expectations.

We stayed there 2 years ago and at the time I told the management that the hotel rooms were getting old and needed to be restored. So did the gardens. I did not know that I was in for a shock when going back to the Pearl this year. The hotel is in a perfect state, the rooms have been restored and are beautifully decorated, the lagoon is stunning especially when you are facing Bora Bora. But the real surprise for us was how beautiful the gardens are and how much work has been done in the last two years. You can clearly feel that there is something going on there and the Pearl in Tahaa is becoming a reference in the area; the same restoration has been done at the Pearl Bora Bora and we were told several times outside the hotel that both Pearls were amongst the best hotels in French Polynesia. The breakfast buffet is amazing, food is excellent for lunch and dinner and the whole place is being maintained according to very high standards. And apparently the work in the gardens is far from being over yet. Can't wait to see what is going to happen there next. Congratulations for making it a heaven place once again.
