For the price we have paid for two nights, the quality and the service provided overall is great. A comfortably sized *** hotel, the owner has a few other connecting business interests (hotel, bistro, sport facility) where you can get discount if needed. The village of Mátrafüred is a good base for hiking. The receptionist in charge was helpful, nice and efficient (Csenge). The check in process is quick, assuming you utilise the online check in app before you arrive to the hotel. This app is also your key to the doors (however a plastic key card is provided too). The sauna, swimming pool (a bit cold), and jakuzzi (heated but no whirring / bubbles) are all clean and included in the price already. The double room is reasonably sized but on the smaller end, the bed is comfy, pillows and blankets are also give a good feeling. We had a great good short holiday. The reason for giving 4/5 because the hotel does not offer breakfast in-house, and if you want to eat in the bistro, you need to leave the building and walk a few mins down the road, and breakfast starts only at 9. The room also is a bit of dark (let’s not forget the building is in the forest) and unfortunately could get very noisy, the window of our room (nr 8) was literally a few meters away from the main and only road to Mátra, with heavy traffic between 5ish a.m. until the late evening - not for light sleepers. Guests in the other rooms may make noises as well.
