My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We had a room upgrade on our arrival and we were allowed to have an early check in. The grounds of this hotel are to die for, the rooms are exceeding all your expectations, the restaurants, the wine tasting (which was included free of charge during our staying) are simply the best. The staff is always there to help you and fulfill all your wishes. If you are planning to stay in Stellenbosch, this is your place! Or at least come for a wine tasting. This is how ,y love with Delaire Graff started and eventually I ended up staying in this hotel during this visit, I came for wine tasting during my trip in 2019 and I knew, that I will be back to stay with them. And I know for sure, I will be back!! Thank you for an amazing experience!

The rooms are stunning - clean, well appointed with a full kitchenette, spacious, private, and lovely views. There are plenty of guest facilities to enjoy. We had a very relaxing stay. The hotel is unfortunately let down by the restaurants. We had a really awful dinner on the first night at Back’s, with undercooked, soggy chips and onion rings and thoroughly mediocre burgers. Breakfast at the clubhouse was great on both mornings, but not so for dinner on the second night - the food was okay, but service terribly slow despite being half full. Housekeeping staff could also use a bit of a refresher course on guest privacy. On the first evening, for turndown service, they quickly let themselves in after knocking once, which was very awkward for us - they didn’t even give us a chance to respond. On the morning we left, they were knocking down our door 45 minutes before checkout time despite the “do not disturb” sign on the door. These are just little things, but detract from what would otherwise be a five star experience.

Discover a location overlooking the majestic mountains and famous vineyards of the historical village of Franschhoek, about 80 km east of Cape Town. The hotel prides itself on its charming ambience, gracious style and attentive service. This 4-star property has a rich history, with one section dating back to the 1880s. The town itself takes its name from the French Huguenots who settled in the area in the early 1680s after fleeing from their home country. Our convenient location is a superb base from which to explore Franschhoek's culinary establishments, art galleries, cheese factories and some 25 world famous wine estates. The hotel boasts a renowned restaurant, luxury accommodations and a sparkling swimming pool. Outdoor activities such as horse-riding, golf, backpacking and trout-fishing can also be arranged. The main hotel consists of 40 Deluxe on-suite bedrooms and boasts 10 fully equipped self catering apartments across the road from the main hotel.

Way too noisy to make for a pleasant stay There were four of us in 2 separate rooms - we all had a terrible night's (rather lack of) sleep. A shame, because it's an attractive building inside & out; really clean; in a great location and (ironically) really comfy beds and lovely pillows and linen. But it is simply way too noisy to be viable as somewhere charging people to sleep. We arrived to the sound of construction noise - in fairness we had been pre-warned about renovations and makes sense to do such work out of season, but maybe not late on a Saturday afternoon. We were all woken up at 3.00 AM by screaming female voices. I assume guests after a good night out and get you can't control your guests' behaviour - but the screaming continued for half an hour, during which time hotel staff should have stepped in to tell them to show some respect to other guests and shut up. Then we were woken again by blaring music just after 6.00 AM. On phoning reception to point this out, we were told they know and it's the staff in the restaurant, who like to play music. It's terrible that it took guests to tell the hotel to tell their staff not to play blaring music at six in the morning. Some of the noise that blighted our stay was out of the hotel's control - but this was totally on them. Quite simply, the hotel staff wanted to listen to blaring music at six in the morning, without any care at all for paying guests, trying to sleep. This is inexcusable and shows utter contempt towards paying guests. The doors need better sound dampers and/or people who care about closing them as silently as possible - most of the slamming doors were early morning, so again I suspect staff not caring at all about the guest experience. And dogs constantly barking from very early morning, in between being woken by screaming and woken by music. This noise absolutely not in the hotel's control - but just added to the general cacophony and resulting sleep deprivation. In summary then not a hotel to book if you want a night's sleep, which is why you book a hotel. Mentioned to reception on check out, but got the sense they didn't care, as money already banked. And that's the really bad/sad part of this. A shame - could be lovely with a bit of consideration, care and a few adaptations.

We had 2 apartments which were both excellent. We arrived mid morning and they really helped us out with an early check in. The position is perfect, only a few minutes walk to everything. Apartments are very spacious and clean. Franschhoek is a beautiful place to visit, we felt very safe, and I would highly recommend staying here.
Would highly recommend a stay in this grand Victorian home converted into a very lovely guest house. Pretty gardens with original red polished ‘stoep’, well appointed room and comfortable bed - we were in main house - with modern bathroom - big shower and quality white towels. Only slight downside of room we had was that the window blinds and curtains did let early morning light in. Breakfast choices were varied and the food was very good and was served on the stoep or in the dining room. The guest house has a plunge pool and loungers were a welcome place to cool off and relax after exploring this pretty historic town with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries. Plenty of parking on site.
This is probably the best guest house you will ever stay in .. It just excels at well . Everything.. The rooms are extremely spacious.. with great sleep quality.. huge walk in showers .. Terrific freshly cooked breakfasts .. And then there are the most amazing staff.. Billy and Lovemore .. I’m thinking of changing my name buddy.. we’re just there when needed. Thank you X It’s location is ideal too as just a five minute walk to the main road full of restaurants/bars etc. Steve .. I wish you and your lovely wife all the best and good luck for the future.. Not that you need it as Le Petit Paris is stunning and I,m thinking now how lucky you had availability on our dates. Comes very highly recommended. My advice would be book early .. not many rooms here .. Enjoy !
This place is too luxurious. 5 star quality. I went there with my husband and kids for some R&R and that is exactly what we got. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was cleaned to perfection, comfortable beds and lined, clean bathrooms etc. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the wifi but it was sorted out. We were in Villa 60, my only feedback is to have more storage space in the bathroom for toiletries and maybe a shower caddie for the shower gels and shampoo. I will definitely be back again and will recommend this place to friends and family. The views were just out of this world!!!
GGuest UserWell, this was a great choice for the last week of our holiday, our wedding Anniversary and Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and thank all the staff who looked after us. Our suite was lovely, venue gorgeous, food great and service fabulous. Golf course is amazing as are all the stsff there, so caring and helpful. Hopefully we will be back.
HHannah CompionWe booked a room at Stellenbosch Hotel and received an upgrade to stay in their sister hotel - Coopmanshuijs. The hotel came with a porter who parked our car and moved pur luggage on our behalf. We had to check out early morning, so they packed a breakfast box for us. The room was beautiful and comfortable, had wifi and LED charged lights to use during load shedding hours, a mini bar, a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower, and AC. The staff was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful, and we enjoyed the upgrade! It’s located about 5mins from the Stellenbosch Hotel, and close to most shops and restaurants. Highly recommend both hotels when you stay in Stellenbosch!
QQuest18184121711I can absolutely recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay. I visited with a friend last week. We had decided to stop here to see what the area had to offer. What a lovely place, and this hotel is excellent. I highly recommend staying here. There is a courtesy bus which is available to take you into the town when you require. The pool area is lovely, and drinks are available by waiter service. The rooms, or at least the room I stayed in, was huge with wooden beams and a lovely bathroom area. I loved the breakfast, great choice of lovely fresh and cooked food available. Overall, if you're in the area, I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely location.
Newer again!!!! Not a Marriott Standard at all! This hotel was a very bad experience. I can not see why the hotel was described as ”modern”?! Nearly Everthing is old and they are so many parts that smells bad. We trusted the Marriott brand, but were extremely dissapointed. At reception it smelled but I couldn´t identify it.. Everything is dark furnished and not really friendly. The room we had was C07. Nice size and view. But this was it! The bath tub which was supposed to be white was rather reddish/brown, never would have used it- the sink of the washing table was brown/black. The shower smelled badly, I only entered it with bath shoes and tried not to touch anything- When we arrived the corridor was not cleaned, feathers of any not identified birds, and some old used tisues. In the wardrobe as well, there was garbage from the guest before ? When we walked through the corridor we saw other rooms which were about to be cleaned and we saw the old matresses, without the cover. They were dark yellow/brown. I didn´t want to think of how old this mattresses were :(( disgusting. We wanted to use the pool - the good thing: it is really big. But when you want to go, you need to ask for pool towels, why they are not in the room from the beginning, no idea- So we had to organizw the towels. They were in the size of hand towels?! I was not able to use for my whole body. Why is this named a pool towel ? There are some old plastic sun chairs around the pool - Obviously with no covers. So we tried to use the ”pool towel” but I could only sit on it, it was too small to lean down on the sun chair.... So not really a nice ”Wellness Eperience” to sit on the plastic chair on a small towel. The water seemed to be clean and it was nice to swim. But if you use swimming goggles you see things on the floor which you do not want to see. All dirty. You need a pool cleaning machine to get this brown this off the bottom. But apparently this is not used here. The side of the pool is old and the there were broken Tiles outside, when you try to get out. I had to take care not to hurt myself. One evening we came back late from dinner and were told the the ceilling from our room came down. Apparently a water problem. I saw the whole and took a foto! I couldn´t believe it!!!! Luckily we were not there, and good luck that it happened at night. BUT the hotel was not able to inform us during the whole day. So we had to pack our staff at 22:00 tiered as we were and got moved to another room- this was named executive. (nr 104) The room has a nice view and it seemed to have new furniture - but I was wandering where the bad small of the toilet came from??! We did not find out. There was not a possibility to open the big window. Only a verry little part of it. (a very small window flap) and this didn´t help. In the middle of the room was a little bath tub (new- yippi!!!) but when we wanted to use it, the water was only coming out a bit more than water drops. And there
