I have lifetime status and live the brand. This property Che is all the boxes. Yewande checked me in with professionalism, courtesy, hospitality and a great smile. She upgraded me and thanked me for my Elite status. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious. Good WiFi. Good shower, although I re on end putting the dispensers in the shower length wise, not width wise and lower them by 6-10” for people who are shorter. At about 5’, it was still a little high to be pumping, but okay. Otherwise, good property overall, especially with Yewande at check. Lots of restaurants around… and just minutes off the highway.

It's my first time in Buford and the hotel really surprised me. Very clean rooms, very friendly staff. I want to add that Rebeca the employee who does the checking has been the friendliest person, better informed about the area when I asked her and it is seen that Rebeca runs the extra mile for her clients, really, although in many hotels they serve me very well , Rebecca broke the standards. I also want to thank the kitchen lady for breakfast (unfortunately I don't remember her name) but she made sure that we didn't leave the hotel if we had our coffee, or something to eat on our stomachs. Always very friendly and very helpful. Every time I have to go to Buford, this is sure to be my hotel.

This is a very…interesting hotel. I wouldn’t recommend staying here but we didn’t have a choice (really trust me we didn’t). FIRST IMPRESSION: looks like a s3x ring hotel. There is signs all over the hotel to beware of a s3x offender (posted), and a sign in the elevator (that is located in the most odd spot) for the human s3x trafficking hotline (posted). There are 90 different types of security cameras located all around the hotel (wouldn’t be shocked if they were in the rooms too). AMBIANCE: Reminds me of a crack hotel. Definitely s3x worker vibes, very sketchy. They also advertise as a non smoking hotel but the entire hotel smells like a garage that was cleaned with bleach. ROOM: Our room is kinda up to date. The floors are new grey/brown vinyl floors, the bathroom was very obviously flooded. The walls are fowl. No joke, FOWL. I’m pretty sure there’s a poop stain on the wall (posted) they told us housekeeping would clean before we came (they didn’t and I know they didn’t because we messed up the bed looking for bugs before we got the room). Pros: city water (I think it was super clean), amazing water pressure in the shower. Cons: feels extremely unsafe.

Security doors did not lock behind you, wood flooring was chipped and coming up, TV was in bedroom not living room, walls were nasty and needed painting, dog barked all night, when we told them we were checking out early they refused to refund any of our money

The only reason my rating isn't a 1 is at least there were no bugs. Public areas seem to have been refreshed in this decade based on decor style and the same for a few things in the sleeping rooms. However, bedroom furniture, bathroom vanity, and tub appear to be right out of the 1980's. On top of that, the beds (at least in my room) were unbelievably uncomfortable...hard as a rock with zero support. They feel like their 8 year life expired 10 years ago. Front desk personnel was anything but welcoming/friendly...like my questions were a bother to answer. Additionally, I came back to the room the first evening to find the room hadn't been cleaned. In asking at the front desk, I was told icleaning had to be requested. One would think that is something a guest would be told at check in or have something clearly posted in the room. Nope, that wasn't my experience. With all of the hotels located in this area, needless to say, I'll spend my money elsewhere next trip to town.

What a remarkable experience while staying at this hotel. From its leadership staff to housekeeping, from rooms to the exercise facility - all are very clean, very comfortable, and are very accommodating.   They continue to go over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a short vacation, business travel or plan to utilize the extended-stay accommodations. This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. The convenience and the local amenities in the area are the best kept secret and the Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing too far out into the City of Atlanta. In particular, one MVP, the Operations Manager named (Gee).   Gee’s leadership and oversight is felt throughout the hotel and property; as she goes over and beyond to ensure that Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place customers and tenants have exceptional experiences. All service-centric businesses (hotels) have different touch-points (operations, check-in, front-desk, housekeeping, memberships, parking, etc.) throughout their organization. At each touch-point customers can recognize her DNA which is very apparent.     Moreover, my family and I love both the character and the charm of this hotel - Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place which does not give you the routine chain hotel vibe at all. Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place has hit an “HOME RUN” within the Gwinnett County Community and with our family. It is our most generous pleasure to write this review giving Sonesta Simply Suites / Atlanta Gwinnett Place, Gēe (Operations Manager) and her staff the highest review and would rate them 11 out of the 5 STARS model.

Had a personal reason to come to this area with the family, specifically chose this hotel as it was located where I wanted to be and Hilton-branded properties are the only ones with a guarantee on connecting rooms. It also helped that the property had ”glowing” reviews on TA. The rooms and breakfast are what you would expect from any Hampton Inn. The location is a bit ”rough” as the neighboring Clarion Suites seems to attract a bad crowd. However, the hotel does employ a security guard during the overnight hours to patrol the parking lot and property. However, the reasons for my 1/5 review is due to the service I received. To be clear, I realize this is a Hampton Inn, not a Waldorf Astoria. However, there still is a basic level of hospitality and customer service that should be provided, especially as brand standards aren't being followed here. It's obvious that the hotel has staffing and training issues, but this isn't a guest's responsibility and management shouldn't hide behind the curtain. Unless you absolutely need to be in this area, I cannot recommend this hotel to others as they aren't providing a basic level of customer service and management is nowhere to be found whenever an issue arises. You can stay at other properties in the area that will provide a similar experience, but at a fraction of the cost that this Hampton Inn is charging.
