Great hotel, it’s like a home there’s 2 bedrooms with all the amenities you need, washing machine, microwave. Lots of storage space. Highly recommend. Will stay there again if we go there.
The overall environment of the room is OK, there is a bathtub, the room is very warm, and there is a CU convenience store downstairs. The hotel is located in the city center, about 10-15 minutes walk from Uncheon subway station (운천역), and next to the 5.18 Memorial Park. The biggest problem is that the bed sheets and quilt covers are not cleaned properly. After opening them, I found a lot of hair stuck to them😣. The waiter changed the room, but the new room still had the same problem😣. The breakfast variety is a bit limited. I don’t know if it is the same here.

- The staff in the lobby were very accommodating.
- The accommodations were spacious, clean, and comfortable.
- The breakfast was neither overly generous nor lacking in variety, quantity, or taste; it was just right.
- The surrounding area was full of motels and bars, so I thought this might be a consideration for solo travelers.
- One thing that was disappointing was that check-out was at 11:00, but around 10:30, as I was getting ready to leave, they called my room asking when I would be checking out. I told them I was leaving soon, but I thought they'd misunderstood the check-out time, so I asked if check-out was 11:00. They didn't answer, just said, ”Okay, I understand,” and hung up. I think they were the cleaning staff, but this was the first time they'd asked this question over the phone, rather than through the system. I was very satisfied with my stay, but it ended on a bad note. Other than that, everything else was great.
I made a reservation after seeing that they provided a simple breakfast, but when I checked in in the evening without any prior notice, they told me that breakfast would not be provided on the day of Chuseok. Then they made the absurd remark that if I was unhappy with that, they would cancel it now. How could I find a new place to stay if I canceled at that time? My travel plans were ruined, and it remains as an unpleasant memory.
The hotel location is good and the room is very spacious
There is even a table on the sofa
So it is comfortable
The building is a bit old, so it is not new, but it is clean
When I went into the room I stayed in, it smelled a bit of cigarette smoke
But it was okay when I turned on the air conditioner
Breakfast is also delicious for this price!
We had booked a deluxe double room for 3 people and were told the day we were arriving that it wasn't possible. Trip contacted us to sort it out and we were ready to pay an extra room and sorti it later. But when we arrived, they surprisingly were very nice about it and didn't mind when they saw ”reservation for 3 people” so we got a nice room for 3 people and they even gave us extra amenities (shampoo, shower gel...)
We also had breakfast for the 3 people (which was also surprising as it said for 2) nothing amazing but fresh fruits and a few other things we didn't eat.
Staff were very very friendly and accommodating so i would recommend and also visit again if I'm going back to gwangju.
Excellent location near Gwangju Bus Terminal so there are many eateries near by and buses to get around town. Convenience store just across the road. Breakfast spread was good. Room was basic and comfortable, however could have been better if more large towels were provided.
The gateway to Gwangju, located in Jeollanam-do, is Youth Square at Gwangju Bus Terminal! This hotel is located 8 minutes on foot from Youth Square. It's very conveniently located when you come from other areas or when you go to Incheon Airport. The hotel rooms were very clean and I had a comfortable stay. There was a computer in the room so I could do research and the Wi-Fi was stable and very fast. There was also a refrigerator with two bottles of water, and the shower room was spacious and clean. There were dispensers on the wall for shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, and towels were also available! The bedroom was also very spacious, and I was able to easily spread out my large carrier, and there was a chair and desk so I could work easily. I was surprised to see that there was a dresser in the room so I could clean my clothes! There was a water server and a coffee machine at the front desk, which was very convenient ☕️
Breakfast was mostly Korean food, and there was Western food like bread and cereal!
Overall it's beautiful and I want to stay here again 😳

Very Good
GGuest UserHotel staff was very helpful. They new English so it helped a lot. Just 5 minutes Taxi to Kim Daejung Convention Center. Lots of good food restraunts nearby. They had clothes ironing and cleaning cabinet in room. Enjoyed my stay.
GGuest UserPros
Excellent Location: The hotel is conveniently located near the metro line, making it easy to access the airport and main train station.
Soundproofing: The soundproofing is impressive, allowing for a restful night’s sleep without disturbances from outside noise.
Great Dining Options: There are plenty of good food options nearby, adding to the overall experience.
Cons
Bright Control Panel Lights: The orange light from the temperature control panel is excessively bright at night. Additionally, the centralized light control panel emits a very bright blue light. Even after turning off the main lights, these panels create a glowing ambiance that can be quite annoying. In Japan, similar panels allow users to turn off the lights on the control itself, which would be an improvement here.
Conclusion
Overall, while the location, soundproofing, and dining options are excellent, the overly bright control panel lights detract from an otherwise enjoyable stay. I hope the management considers making adjustments to enhance guest comfort.
GGuest UserIf I travel to Gwangju again, I will come here again.
From friendly reception, clean and comfortable bedding, to breakfast service, nothing is missing.
Overall, I thought the atmosphere was warm, different from other lodgings.
Maybe that's why I can't sleep deeply outside, but I slept soundly here.
It felt like sleeping at home with my mother's touch.
While eating breakfast, I overheard the conversation of the ladies preparing the next meal.
The friendly atmosphere was good, whether it was run by the family or the staff and family.
Everything was really good.
SStephanie ChewThe hotel is near business district (I think). For breakfast, you need to be at least 30 minutes early otherwise the ahjuma will clear up the food and leave the place on the dot. The room is big and clean too.
HHayan SeoI went small trip and stayed hotel myself. The hotel looks bit old but fine location. It was bit noisy, still okay in the middle of the city. However, cleanliness was poor because I saw short hair everyday that wasn't mine and I was smelled terribly weird thing when I turned on the air-condition.
GGuest UserI liked the spacious room and bathroom. The location was good, for it is surrounded by restaurants. It was about 6 km away from Gwangju Songjeong Station. The room was very clean, and had enough amenities. I loved that the room had a veranda, with table and chair. There was a laptop computer in my room too. I would stay there again.
SSonny GeneralI stayed well!
Good accessibility and moderate places to eat around,
First of all, it was nice to be quiet.
Next time I go to see baseball, I will visit again!!
GGuest UserIt is easy to move because it is the center of downtown Sangmu District, but there are many nearby bars and nightlife, so it is noisy at night and it is rather scary for women to stay alone. I think it was inappropriate for business hotel purposes. It's very good to have a styler.
