A converted palace in the middle of a bustling city a haven of tranquility. A delightful but difficult building to negotiate one’s way around. Splendid bedroom beautifully appointed a joy to be in. The staff from the wonderful general manager down were helpful, courteous and extremely patient. To pick out a single member of staff is difficult but my vote goes to Ravi in the dining room. The chef was incredibly helpful when sorting out my dietary problems and produced meals of the highest quality.
Recommended you stay I leave you to make your own mind.

Recently renovated heritage hotel. Very clean and full of charm. The staff were attentive and welcoming, but sometimes fell a little short of what you would expect from this 5 star chain of hotels. For example, one day we returned after a full day exploring the city and our room had not been cleaned. One evening we ate in the restaurant and ordered two dishes, but only one arrived. One evening we went to 5 o’clock cocktails but there was no bartender in the bar. And the first morning we had breakfast we were told it was buffet only; I asked if there was any a menu and was told no, only to realize later that there was in fact a menu full of delicious options. This hotel has potential to be amazing but it needs to pay attention to the details.

The Taj truly stands as the epitome of excellence in the hotel industry. We were thoroughly impressed with the services. Namrata was exceptionally helpful and recommended some of the best dishes. To our surprise, every dish turned out to be amazing

Well arranged and planned by Somya and Yogendra. Loved the evening. Wonderful evening. Great efforts. Pool area is great. Would recommend this place for special occasions. Best place in town Highly recommended for surprises for your loved one.

This hotel is a very good place, everything is perfect, large rooms very confortable, large swimming pool in the meddle of a marvelous garden. The staff is very pleasant every where. Before being a hotel it is a palace (très chic). The restaurant is very pleasant, the food is very good and thanks to Soumya you feel like at home.

The place is a perfect stay if you are looking to be treated like royalty. The rooms, the food, the staff, the ambience - all contribute to making this a most delightful place to stay. I celebrated my bday here and SOUMYA who looks after banquets gave us the royal alcove complete with silver ware with the royal insignia !! Made us feel like a maharaja and maharani !!

Really one of the best hotel in India. It is not only an hotel but a palace which is converted in a hotel (de luxe). The room are very large, confortable, with a very nice decoration. The garden and the swimming pool are perfect, you can have a rest under the trees with lovely parrots who will keep you company. The restaurant is a great address, good food, good wine and very pleasant staff, spécial thanks to Soumya who do her best to make you feeling like at home, but all her colleagues are very professional too.
