Stayed at Gokulam Park on Jan 1st and 2nd 2025 to visit Guruvayur temple. Property: Close enough to walk to the temple. Excellent quality of rooms and furnishing. All features that befits a 4 star hotel. Bit hard to locate since the front view is blocked by the railway overbridge. Food: Excellent food quality. I loved every dish that I had from the 1st to the 3rd. My mother is a picky eater who usually finds something wrong, but not in this case. The restaurant service is also top notch, so much so that I took the effort to note the chef's name as Mohan, and the servers as Sandhu, Athul, Krishnapriya and Midhun. Good job! Service: I have had similar high quality service only from 5 star hotels such as the Oberoi or the Taj. My elderly mother had several requests which would have left anyone a bit grumpy, but the staff was always so polite and enthusiastic to meet our requests. Any time I mentioned a need to someone, it was answered professionally and resolved with urgency. Some of these were a request for a bucket/mug, low rise pillow, help understanding the shower settings, complementary Temple drop and pickup, and so on. Again, since the service was exceptional, I noted the names of those who attended us. From the room boy Renjith, staff driver Sanju and trainee Amith, to the front desk operators Vishnu and Alan everyone took a keen interest in our well being at the hotel and often asked us how else they could be of assistance. Felt good! Leadership: I usually don't leave a comment about leadership, but one comment by an operator caught my attention. When I mentioned how good their service was, the operator said how the leadership sets high standards for them l, trains them and leads them by example. For an employee to praise the leadership without anyone else present is uncommon. I haven't had a chance to meet everyone, but I had the opportunity to interact with Karthika, the Sr. Guest Relations Associate, and I can see how she sets a pretty high bar for hospitality for herself and her team. I understand the hotel completed it's first anniversary on Jan 2nd. I wish the best for the team in 2025 and beyond.
